Addie
Addie (she/they) is a Vancouver-based educator and co-founder of Studio Allegory where she provides ongoing rope education as well as workshops in a variety of other kink topics. She is a switch and self-suspender, and her diverse background informs her instruction. Her happy place is nerding out on technical tidbits, breaking down ‘soft’ skills into specific trainable habits, and finding ways of tailoring rope experiences to the individual needs of the people involved.

This class takes a deep dive into the minute details of what makes good tension, clean placement, even lines, and smooth, effortless rope movement. These absolutely fundamental (and universally applicable) micro-techniques are difficult to pin down but magic once implemented, and make the difference between good rope and excellent tying. We will look at how...
The pursuit of ‘connective’ or ‘communicative’ rope is central to the experiences many of us seek in rope bondage. Despite this, connection and communication as concepts are slippery to define, tricky to exemplify, and often tautological in explanation. Connection is not created by a set of actions, by a particular pose, by close proximity,...

A wild dance while tying with each other is the result. Ranboo is characterized by a large amplitude of variation of distance, speed, and intensity, paired...

How can we approach the big ominous terms in kink and intimacy? In the vast field of kink, sexuality, and intimacy we encounter them on almost every step. Nothing seems to be able to hide from them; if we meet them, they are often the reason for heated debates and absolutistic claims about their meaning....
