Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to take Rope School classes in order?
No! Each Tuesday class stands on its own. Jump into whichever topic interests you. The cycle repeats every month, so you can catch anything you missed.
What if I can’t make a specific Tuesday?
No problem – there’s no fixed progression. If you miss any Rope School class this month, catch it next month. Your Rope Card credits stay valid for 12 months.
Do I need to bring my own ropes?
Whereas we can lend you some ropes for anything floor work related, it does make sense to get your own ropes at this point. 3-5 ropes are enough, add another 3 once you start suspension. You can get ropes in our shop if available or buy them at Other Nature.
Can I use my Rope Card for workshops?
Rope Cards are for Rope School classes only. But cardholders get 15% off Rope Level-Up classes and 10% off Master Classes by visiting teachers!
What’s the difference between Rope Fundamentals and the Monday Absolute Beginner class?
The Monday class is for absolute beginners – your very first steps. Rope Fundamentals assumes you’ve got the basics down and goes deeper into technique, patterns, and connection.
Can I attend Rope in the Air without suspension experience?
Yes, but we recommend taking the “Level-Up: Into the Air” workshop first if you’re completely new to suspension. It teaches safety fundamentals that the Tuesday class builds upon.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to take Rope School classes in order?
No! Each Tuesday class stands on its own. Jump into whichever topic interests you. There’s a continuation from Absolute Beginners to Fundamentals to Structures, and finally Rope in the Air. The cycle repeats once all topics within a series are taught (approximately every 8 months), so you can catch anything you missed.
What if I can’t make a specific Tuesday?
No problem – there’s no fixed progression. If you miss any Rope School class this month, catch another one next month. Your Rope Card credits stay valid for 12 months.
Do I need to bring my own ropes?
Whereas we can lend you some ropes for anything floor tying related, it does make sense to get your own ropes when you tie actively. 3-5 ropes are enough, add another 3 once you start suspension. You can get ropes in our shop if available or buy them at Other Nature.
Can I use my Rope Card for other workshops?
Rope Cards are for Rope School classes only. But cardholders get 15% off Rope Level-Up classes and 10% off Master Classes by visiting teachers!
What’s the difference between Rope Fundamentals and the Monday Absolute Beginner class?
The Monday class is for absolute beginners – your very first steps. Rope Fundamentals assumes you’ve got the basics down and goes deeper into technique, patterns, and connection. We expect you to be able to tie a single column tie and can do something with the rest of the rope too.
Can I attend Rope in the Air without suspension experience?
You need to know how to attach suspension lines to harnesses and how to lock off on a ring, carabiners, or bamboo. We recommend taking the “Level-Up: Into the Air” workshop first if you’re completely new to suspension. It teaches technique and safety fundamentals that the Tuesday class builds upon.
