Event Details
Both, non-monogamous relationship styles and kinky practices are still strongly connected to sexual, rather than romantic, physical, emotional or aesthetic attraction. Even though the spectrum of asexuality has become more known, it is still often conflated with stereotypes and labels, such as celibacy or “hating to be touched”.
Additionally, as T.N. Rowan wrote in her article “Critical Reflections on “Ace of (BDSM) Clubs” and Linking Asexuality to BDSM: “Where are we Starting From?” asexual individuals regularly get invalidated and labelled as sexual, when engaging into sexual practices. The conflation of sexual attraction, sexual desire, and general interest in sexual behaviour is still as common, as the mis-understanding, that asexuality itself represents a spectrum, varying in all three traits.
This discussion opens up the forum for exchange about the spectrum of asexuality and how non-monogamic relationships and kink can create a space to feel safe(r), and not even more marginalized than before.
How can non-monogamy and kink challenge asexuality and how can asexuality challenge non-monogamy and kink?
Poly, Kink & Asexuality invites its participants to exchange experiences, resources and practices for relationship and play negotiation, establishing consent and network.

Psyche is about the totality of a human mind, conscious and unconscious intertwined, in conflict and alignment. Psychological wellness requires a metabolised balance and when out of alignment we experience psychological distress. In this workshop we will discuss mental health within relationship diversity and how we can maintain, build and challenge our way to better psychological wellness.
Aims and objectives we will cover include:
• Mental Health and Polyamory, does it have an effect?
• How can living our authentic and not adaptive self pivot us towards better psychological wellbeing?
• When we experience the paradigm of love and jealousy how can we maintain the equilibrium of psychological wellness?
• Can trauma be healed through relationship diversity via a lens of consent?
• What can Polyamory teach us about grief and loss?
• How can we navigate our way through what it raises for us while being psychologically protective?

Event Details
Polyamory provides many possibilities and freedom, and also many precious teachings, like that relationships* are manyfold and their quality not measured by their duration. Still, what happens with the adding of the sand-grains of time? Change is the only thing constant in life, right?
In this workshop we try – hopefully together, within the limitations of the electronic platform – to list some of the possible developments, pitfalls, joys and possible ways to address them. It will not be possible to address everything, and some topics will be more interesting to some than others, because we are all different, but some candidates are power dynamics, able status and care, small or big personal development or change, long-lasting and/or unsolvable conflicts, scarcity of role models in poly or long relationships, changing intensity or attraction, autonomy and last but not least, aging.
This event is thought of as hands-on, with practical aspects taking priority over theory. Invited are all poly and non-poly living people with a respectful attitude and understanding the basics of polyamory as consensual informed non-monogamy.

Family and parenthood have ever since been concepts that queer folx had been excluded from, so we’ve always challenged those concepts or created new, creative and radical ways of what family can be for us.
In this interactive talk we’re going to dive into a critical exploration of the concept of families and look at the challenges and obstacles that have been brought upon us when it comes to questioning the heteronormative concepts of family&parenthood.
There will be space for discussion, Reflection and creative brainstorming on how we can create different ways of queering familyhood or finding new concepts and ways to live with our loved once.

Event Details
While polyamory and polyamorists are often viewed as a very welcome bunch, far too often, our communities and representation appear very limited. While we can be loud and proud when it comes to feminism and LGBT issues, sometimes we are suspiciously silent in regards to race. Beyond that, we sometimes, and often unknowingly, foster a standoffish, stressful or downright unwelcoming atmosphere around people of color. This presentation is a discussion about why diversity is important to our movement. We will tackle ways that we can proactively promote an inclusive environment in our lives, in our communities, and at our events. Most importantly, we will go over what we can do to maintain that diversity.

The name of the class was taken from the Audre Lorde quote, “There is no such thing as a single-issue struggle because we do not live single-issue lives.” The talk/discussion will begin by listing the multiple identities of the presenter, including Black, Autistic, Polyamorous, Breast Cancer Survivor, Person Living with Mental Illnesses, and much more.
The bulk of the talk will deal with Intersectionality, a concept originated by Attorney Kimberlé Williams Crenshaw, who is known for the introduction and development of intersectionality, the theory of how overlapping or intersecting social identities, particularly minority identities, relate to systems and structures of oppression, domination, or discrimination.
Additionally, this interactive discussion will give everyone in attendance the opportunity to look at the intersections in their own lives.

Polyamory / Ethical Non-Monogamy are becoming more and more part of the intersectional, queer and also the kink discourse around politics, freedom and identity. These practice are complex and have a huge potential to free yourself from oppressive norms of any kind. However, shedding yourself from certain societal and personal conditioning is often complicated. Even more so if you realize how intersectional and therefore by default political your love and your relationship constructs are.
Love is Polytical brings different facilitators with multiple approaches and backgrounds together to take a deep dive into the field of ethical polyamory/non-monogamy and its intersections with gender, sexuality, language, wealth, housing, body size, mental health, neurodiversity, ability, education, skin colour and citizenship.
We will offer a variety of formats from discussions to workshops or interventions with a focus on critical inquiry but also hands-on approaches in hopes to enable participants to not only think about ethical polyamory/non-monogamy in a more intersectional way but also acquire skills to act accordingly in the future.
