Event Details

In this workshop Addie and Barkas will stay on the ground and establish modes of tying that seek to move emotionally.

Between Yukimura Ryu and Barkas’ philosophy of Kinbaku, the participants will meet the creatures that move, those that touch, and those that listen. We will discuss the triangle between communication through ropes, position, and pattern and see how they support each other. We will suggest simple exercises to participants so that they can practice and explore after the workshop.

We encourage people with all kinds of backgrounds to join, no matter if absolute beginner or professional. The contents of this workshop will work for all.

What you need to bring:

Yourself, a partner if you like

Prerequisites: a single column tie would be good to know for later practice.

What else to know:

The workshop time is CEST (Central European Summer Time).

Workshop language is English (occasional German or French translation possible)

Addie & Barkas will also be physically at Karada House giving a masterclass in November.

If you are a marginalized person and cannot afford to buy a ticket to this class, feel free to contact us for free entry.

Karada House strives to be a gender, sexuality, bodies, marginalized, neurodiverse and intersection individuals inclusive space. We use queer as a self identifying term, which may not fit for all individuals, it remains an umbrella term by which Karada House identifies its core community and includes itself. Allies are welcome as long as they hold a similar ethos, ethics and values under which Karada House Team leads its space.
