“What is Love?! Baby, don’t hurt me, don’t hurt me no more!” is the familiar refrain from ’90s pop icon Haddaway. Let’s spend some time together finding out.

All About Love by bell hooks invites each of us to look more deeply at what love is and what it isn’t.

Caritia invites participants to explore the tangible and intangible ways love appears in our lives, and to consider how we might recognise and acknowledge its different facets. Together, we’ll begin to create a map of love that we can return to and draw upon in our everyday actions and moments.

Let’s embrace the cliché, the profound and the prophetic as we seek to uplift and raise the levels of love in our lives and in the collective.

Through group discussion, written reflections and playful connection icebreakers, we’ll create space for curiosity, discovery and new perspectives on love.

What to Expect

A shared exploration of the many ways love shows up in our lives, from the familiar and comforting to the unexpected and challenging. Through group discussion, written reflection and playful icebreakers, we’ll explore our ideas, experiences and expectations of love. Together, we’ll begin to develop a personal map of love that can help us recognise it, nurture it and put it into practice in everyday life.

Who Is This For?

For anyone who wants to explore love beyond romantic ideals and familiar clichés. Whether you’re curious about how love shapes your relationships, looking to bring more love into your everyday life or interested in reflecting on love as both a personal and collective practice, this workshop invites you to come as you are, share what feels right and remain curious about what love can be.
