This online workshop is a BIPOC-only space, facilitated by a BIPOC rope practitioner, created for folks who want to deepen their rope skills and play with technique in a supportive learning environment.
Participants should have a working knowledge of rope basics and feel comfortable with common rope terminology.
Caritia will guide participants through building fluidity in rope, exploring the difference between knots and frictions, and learning when and why to use each. This session focuses on expanding your rope vocabulary, strengthening foundational skills, and developing confidence—whether you’re tying solo or with a partner.
Expect a mix of explanation, demonstration, and hands-on practice designed to help rope feel more intuitive, playful, and adaptable.
What we’ll cover:
- Rope terminology refresher
- 3–4 essential knots and frictions
- Rope movement and flow
- Drills to build muscle memory
- Wrapping techniques
- Tension and counter-tension
Come curious, ready to practice, and ready to play.

More Information
BIPOC is an acronym that stands for Black, Brown, Indigenous, Asian, Latinx, and all other non-white people who experience racialization. We use "BIPOC/POC" as a political term that recognizes our shared experiences under white supremacy and the distinct histories, struggles, and cultural identities within our communities. This definition honors the specific and ongoing impacts of anti-Blackness and acknowledges the diverse forms of systemic oppression faced globally, while affirming that all people of color experience racialized marginalization. Our intention is to create a space grounded in solidarity, healing, and collective empowerment for those who are not socially treated as white.
After your successful ticket purchase, you will be sent an email with the Zoom login data for this event. If you do not receive it, message us with your order number so we can send it again. Some email services "disappear" our messages so please check if you received our login data email.
If this session includes a recording you can obtain it by simply purchasing a ticket. You will automatically get access to the live class and the recording as they come in a package. The recording login data will be sent out 24–48h after the live event and will be available for (at least) 14 days after the live event. Please note these classes are places for experience, not for instruction. Nothing here is tested or graded — only perceived, felt, and shared. All offerings are invitations to reflect — no curriculum, no exam, no training. Recordings exist solely to support personal integration and are available only for a limited time.
Yes, because you are paying for the knowledge our facilitators distribute, not for the access to Zoom itself. We kindly ask you to respect that and pay accordingly.
Before purchasing a solidarity ticket, please check here if you are eligible for one.
