In this workshop series by Barkas & Addie, the participants are invited to come along on a journey of interpretations. In the Interview Series, we established that tying can be seen as a language in a broader sense. This workshop demonstrates the limits of our language as well as its unexpected possibilities. Since the borders of our world are the borders of our language, we try and reach exactly those borders and see that, in both ropes and language, poetry awaits.
In three workshops we do exactly that: write poems with, and read them through, ropes.
Part II: Spatiality (March 16th, 7-10pm CET)
Saying something requires a location and listening to someone requires proximity. In the second part of this series, we research the spatial contexts of rope bondage and decorate the space
within which we tie.
A familiarity with the interview metaphor is not required but helps for a better understanding. You can get access to the recordings of the Interview Metaphor Series here.
