What is identity? What is a kink identity? Who am I and if yes, why? What are we doing when we identify as? These and more questions are far more important for our daily experience with kink, intimacy, relationships, and sexualities than we might think.

In this workshop we are taking a path to a different understanding of identity by deconstructing the terms involved. The promise of identity becomes a model of ourselves as malleable and we can thus create an identity of ourselves that we feel comfortable with.

  • ways out of the crisis of identity

Georg Barkas is an intimacy educator, researcher, and rope bondage performer based in Vancouver, Canada. Their focus lies in the deconstruction of established norms and approaches to kink, intimacy, and sexuality.
