Do you hate Christmas? Perhaps you just haven’t found the right way to celebrate it.
SMishmas invites you to embrace the darker, stranger, more deliciously mischievous side of the festive season. Caritia welcomes participants into a playful exploration of sadism, masochism, sensation, and psychological play, using the imagery and absurdity of Christmas as our creative playground.
December can be a season of slowing down, hibernating, and releasing. What kinds of kink might help us surrender, discharge tension, explore intensity, or regulate our nervous systems? What happens when we take the familiar symbols of Christmas and turn them into opportunities for sensation, transformation, catharsis, and play?
Think shiny baubles, human Christmas trees, tinkling lights, starry patterns, festive cruelty, and a healthy dose of Scrooge-inspired attitude.
This is a collaborative space for creating and exploring scenes together, with room for participants to bring their own ideas and interests. Come ready to be creatively mean, wonderfully strange, and playful with the season.
What will happen in the space?
- Intros & arrival — Getting settled, connecting, and establishing the foundations for the space
- Brainstorming — Generating festive, kinky, and creatively cruel possibilities
- Collaborative scene curation — Shaping ideas into shared scenes with clear intentions and boundaries
- Playtime — Exploring sensation, dynamics, and Christmas-themed SM together
- Wind-down & reflection — Returning to ourselves and considering: What gifts are you taking away with you?
Let’s be mean together. After all, it’s Christmas.

More Information
This workshop is intentionally one centred around sadism and masochism, in its various forms.
There will be no direct instruction. As a group, we will brainstorm ways to play and then set the space to allow for play and exploration.
This space holds the following boundaries: no scat, pee or spitting. No knives or needles; however, a space will be created to play with staples.
LGBTQIA+ describes the full spectrum of non-mainstream sexual orientation and/or gender identity, meaning: lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, transgender, non-binary, genderqueer/fluid, queer, intersex, asexual, aromantic, agender.
Womên describes people who are identifying themselves as female in their gender identity. People that fit this category can be part of the LGBTQIA+ spectrum or not. We created this category specifically to indicate that we also invite cisgender, heterosexual womên.
The word is our own creation and serves as a replacement for the word "womxn" which is now being (ab)used for transmisogynist statements. The ^ in womên represents a marker (similar to the "x" in womxn) that wishes to give emphasis to the fact that womênhood is an intersectional umbrella term that holds many different people and experiences and is not biologically predetermined.
