How can ropes awaken desire, tension, and playful challenge?

The gag, the hair pulled back, the rope that tightens when you move. This class explores the erotic, teasing, mischievous side of rope. We’ll play with the elements that heighten sensation and shift the charge between two people — gagging, hair restraint, crotch ropes, predicaments — always inside a frame of consent and communication. A few exercises to try things out, then time to play with whatever you want to take further.

We Will Explore:

  • Erotic tension — how it builds in the space before, between, and around the ties
  • Teasing and predicaments: rope that provokes, restricts, invites a reaction
  • Gagging, hair restraint, crotch ropes and how to use it with intention
  • Consent inside the frame — checking in as part of the play, not a break from it

Who this class is for:

  • Anyone who desires to bring more heat into their rope
  • People looking for new ideas they can keep using at home
  • Nerds who love the details of how sensation and tension actually work

Liebre Azul (she/her)

Azul is a multifaceted Colombian artist, alternative model, and contemporary dancer. Her practice explores the full spectrum of rope: being tied, self-tying and self-suspension, as well as tying others. For Azul, rope is first and foremost a form of connection. A space in which two people can allow themselves to be vulnerable and meet each other simply as human beings. At the same time, she sees...
