What does it mean to be a little mean? How can sadism become playful, connective, attentive, or even tender?

This workshop invites participants to explore the quieter, subtler, and more personal expressions of sadism beyond intensity alone. Together, we will investigate how teasing, tension, anticipation, discomfort, control, humour, and unusual impulses can support play, intimacy, and connection in ways that feel authentic to you.

Caritia will guide participants through discussion, reflection, and collaborative exploration around the topic of s/m, encouraging curiosity, communication, and personal agency within play. Participants will be invited to experiment with one or two practical exercises and playful frameworks, exploring how different approaches to sadism can shift dynamics, sensation, trust, and relational presence.

This workshop is less about performing a role and more about discovering your own language of play — whether mischievous, caring, awkward, intense, creative, or strange. Participants can expect a space centred on exploration, consent, experimentation, and finding new ways to connect through intentional play.
