Let’s create an intentionally playful space together to explore power and power dynamics. Caritia invites participants to spend three hours in joyful exploration of boundaries, group formation, using verbal and non-verbal ways to discover (and rediscover) the art of leading and following. Together, we will set personal intentions for finding clarity in the ways each participant wishes to hold power with and for others.
Caritia aims to create a container for tops, bottoms and switches to playfully, dynamically and respectfully dig into the gifts they hold to lead and follow, that divest from norms and invest in creativity and empowerment. With the intention of using adaptive games, curiosity circles and stats :). Let’s play geek-ily together.
What we will do
- ice breakers
- intention & boundary setting
- negotiation – non-verbal and physical alternatives
- creative play and game creation
- group play for empowerment and balance
- feedback and close

More Information
This space is intended for novices and those with experience in power hierarchies. To gain hands-on practice of the hows and whys of power dynamics and power exchange, from an embodied perspective. Meaning what are the ways power can be communicated using non-verbal communication, movement, posture and tools.
Caritia will guide participants through both large- and small-group play and exercise.
LGBTQIA+ describes the full spectrum of non-mainstream sexual orientation and/or gender identity, meaning: lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, transgender, non-binary, genderqueer/fluid, queer, intersex, asexual, aromantic, agender.
Womên describes people who are identifying themselves as female in their gender identity. People that fit this category can be part of the LGBTQIA+ spectrum or not. We created this category specifically to indicate that we also invite cisgender, heterosexual womên.
The word is our own creation and serves as a replacement for the word "womxn" which is now being (ab)used for transmisogynist statements. The ^ in womên represents a marker (similar to the "x" in womxn) that wishes to give emphasis to the fact that womênhood is an intersectional umbrella term that holds many different people and experiences and is not biologically predetermined.
