From Theory to Embodied Power: A Day of Dominant Practice
You’ve read the books, attended discussions, and gathered insights into power, consent, and leadership — now it’s time to put that knowledge into your body.
This guided practice day is for those who have a solid grounding in the principles of dominance and power exchange but want more hands-on experience in leading, directing, and holding space in play.
Together, we’ll explore:
- Negotiation in action — practicing setting boundaries and shaping scenes with intention.
- Embodied dominance — discovering how authority, confidence, and care show up physically and emotionally.
- Playing intentionally — exploring desires, presence, and power.
Facilitated by Caritia, this space is created for queer and marginalised folks to safely experiment with their leadership and dominance styles. You’ll be supported with gentle guidance, practical prompts, and opportunities for reflection and feedback.
Please arrange a play partner in advance and come with curiosity, consent, and readiness to move from theory into embodied power.
What we will do
- Introductions – Meet and greet ice breakers
- Discussion and intention setting – the what and whys of play
- Negotiation (incorporating intersectionality) – the how
- Coaching tips and tricks (optional)
- Open play space
- Feedback and closing circle
Note: If you wish to deepen your practice, there is an additional day for LGBTQIA+ & Friends on Sunday, December 7th, Delving into Dominance.

LGBTQIA+ describes the full spectrum of non-mainstream sexual orientation and/or gender identity, meaning: lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, transgender, non-binary, genderqueer/fluid, queer, intersex, asexual, aromantic, agender.
Womên describes people who are identifying themselves as female in their gender identity. People that fit this category can be part of the LGBTQIA+ spectrum or not. We created this category specifically to indicate that we also invite cisgender, heterosexual womên.
The word is our own creation and serves as a replacement for the word “womxn” which is now being (ab)used for transmisogynist statements. The ^ in womên represents a marker (similar to the “x” in womxn) that wishes to give emphasis to the fact that womênhood is an intersectional umbrella term that holds many different people and experiences and is not biologically predetermined.
