Sensation play comes in many forms, and wax play explores the edge between warmth, intensity, and pleasure. Because it involves heat and skin contact, wax play requires thoughtful preparation, clear boundaries, and informed technique.

In this workshop, Caritia guides participants through the layered and adaptable practice of wax play. Together, we will explore different types of candles, temperature awareness, safety considerations, and intentional approaches to both application and removal. Attention is given not only to physical safety, but also to nervous system regulation, communication, and connection.

The workshop is grounded in clear frameworks, negotiated boundaries, and conscious awareness of how wax play can be experienced as playful, grounding, intense, or soothing—depending on intention and context.

Topics we will cover:

  • What to use and how to use it (candle types, distance, and temperature awareness)
  • Health, safety, and clean-up considerations
  • Preparing the body and environment
  • Boundaries, consent, and clear negotiation
  • Sensation, pleasure, and pacing
  • Ways to self-regulate during and after play

The session will close with time for feedback, reflection, and integration.
