It’s the kinkiest time of the year—or at least it could be 😉
December, Christmas, and all the expectations that surround them can bring up a surprisingly complicated mix of feelings. What if, instead of simply getting through the season, we played with it? How might our existing kinks, desires, and pleasures help us create new associations with this time of year?
Caritia invites participants into a playful workshop exploring how kink can become a tool for connection, creativity, and pleasure during the festive season. We’ll imagine possibilities for play that feel nourishing, exciting, mischievous, or simply different from the usual Christmas script.
This is a space to explore what makes play meaningful for you and to develop ideas, rituals, and possibilities that you can carry into the season and beyond.
What we’ll explore
- Christmas, but make it kinky — Reimagining familiar festive themes through a kink lens
- Pleasure and possibility — Identifying the kinds of play, sensation, connection, and dynamics that appeal to us
- Changing the associations — Exploring how intentional play can help us relate differently to challenging or loaded experiences
- Play planning — Turning ideas and fantasies into realistic possibilities for connection and experimentation
- Kink as care — Considering how play can support regulation, connection, confidence, and joy
Bring your curiosity, your festive mischief, and your favourite ways of playing. Let’s make some new Christmas traditions.

More Information
This workshop is intended to be one that includes play. Participants are asked to have one or two ideas on the types of kink play they would like to do. Nothing has to be fixed or set in stone; however, having an idea or two would support the flow of the space.
There will be no hands-on training, so everyone is asked to bring the skills they have.
No one has to play – every participant has the agency to choose if the space is one that lends itself to allowing for play to happen or not.
There will be an introductory round, some icebreakers, and intention-setting.
Yes, it can be, but this is not essential. The idea is that folks can create new or different energy around this holiday season that has the potential to carry them energetically in a supportive way. Participants are encouraged to choose what fits best for them.
LGBTQIA+ describes the full spectrum of non-mainstream sexual orientation and/or gender identity, meaning: lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, transgender, non-binary, genderqueer/fluid, queer, intersex, asexual, aromantic, agender.
Womên describes people who are identifying themselves as female in their gender identity. People that fit this category can be part of the LGBTQIA+ spectrum or not. We created this category specifically to indicate that we also invite cisgender, heterosexual womên.
The word is our own creation and serves as a replacement for the word "womxn" which is now being (ab)used for transmisogynist statements. The ^ in womên represents a marker (similar to the "x" in womxn) that wishes to give emphasis to the fact that womênhood is an intersectional umbrella term that holds many different people and experiences and is not biologically predetermined.
