Gote, or ushiro takate kote, is one of the first ties we learn. Yet, it is also the tie that is the most difficult to master.
In this session, Subay will deconstruct the gote and discuss the following:
1. Stemmed gote vs stemless gote
2. Shoulder positioning
3. Wrists and arms positioning
4. Use of kannuki
5. How to know if your gote is suitable for a certain suspension
6. Gote variations for rope bottoms with different flexibility

Format: workshop
Minimum Knowledge Level: intermediate
Prerequisites for rope top:
1. Single column tie
2. Some knowledge and experience about gote in any style
Prerequisites for rope bottom:
1. Understanding of basic rope safety, in particular regarding nerve damage
What to Bring: ropes, suspension point & partner if you wish to tie along
Solo or Partnered: both, partnered if you want to tie along
