Curious about the possible intersections between kink and spirituality? Wondering how intention, meaning, and the sense of the sacred might weave into your play?

In this interactive workshop, Caritia invites participants to explore what happens when we bring awareness, intention, and a sense of spirit into kink — and why we might choose to do so. Rather than offering fixed answers, this session creates space for reflection, discussion, and experiential exploration of what “conscious kink” can mean in different bodies, identities, and practices.

Caritia will share their own framing of conscious kink, alongside facilitated discussion and group exploration of themes such as ritual and role-play, ordeal and ecstasy, altered states of presence, and how BDSM can be used as a pathway for self-understanding and self-actualisation.

Together, we will explore questions such as: What makes an experience feel sacred? How do intention and attention shape intensity? How can structure, ritual, or symbolism deepen connection, meaning, or transformation in play?

Participants can expect to explore:

  • Getting intentional in your play
  • BDSM utopias and kinky science fiction as imaginative frameworks
  • Creating embodied rituals for play and connection
  • Kink, magic, altered states, and transcendence
  • BDSM as a potential pathway for self-actualisation and insight
  • Consent, ethics, and intersectionality as grounding foundations for all exploration

This workshop centres curiosity over certainty, and encourages participants to engage with spirituality and kink in ways that are personal, embodied, and non-prescriptive — whether you approach these ideas with reverence, skepticism, playfulness, or all three at once.
