Event Details

This experiential space is a safe(r) container for fat folx to come and explore the depths of their bodies with rope (or yarn, string, fabric) as a tool. Through rope prompts, embodiment exercises & reflective movement, Almond will guide the group through an experimental rope jam.

With rope as the tool, Almond will guide us to explore our relationships to:

embodied fat joy, pride, magic
embodied fat rage, shame, fatphobia
folding into our flesh for safety
unfurling & taking up space
living in and with our fat bodies

Although moments of the workshop will be reserved for celebrations of our fat joy – there will be ample time for ALL emotions.

This space is for fat folx. This includes folx who wear ‘plus size’ clothing (this is generally above size 12 – X US/ 46W Europe ) &/or experience fatphobia.
Although folx are welcome to come in pairs/groups if that’s safest for them – Almond’s guidance will be for self-tying (including assisted self-tying).
