In this class, Ziggi will interview Hedwig about their experiences with going from being an international rope teacher and performer to quitting the rope world completely. It will be a conversation about mental health, the things that make (queer) people disappear from the rope scene, how a source of kinky creativity can run dry, and what it means to leave a community.
Participants in this class will be encouraged to share their own thoughts and feelings on rope-related burnout, leaving a community, quitting kink et cetera. We feel these topics are definitely not talked about enough and hope that a class like this can both act as an affirming space for those who have experienced feelings of rope/kink/creative/etc. burnout, and as an opportunity to listen and learn for those who have not.
Note: this is NOT “Hedwig’s return to the rope world”.
