The discourses that accompany intimacy, kink, and sexuality are taking several concepts for granted and mark them as needs, as these inescapable, biologized authorities that we are bound to obey. Security/safety is one of those concepts that we are not allowed to question. Everyone needs safety in a kink space and everyone strives for security in relationships, right? If not, there must be something wrong.
This workshop investigates the concept of safety and security and offers not an escape but the possibility to rethink to what extent these concepts are needed.
