The year 2020 marked the beginning of deeply unexpected and intense change for all of us. Day to day “normality” came to a halt and we had to adapt many aspects of our lives. Our physical bodies, minds, relationships, working practices, connection to ourselves and others, identity, sexuality, and much more shifted significantly.
Many of us were suddenly in a place where for a prolonged time we didn’t have to play certain roles or behave in certain ways because society had stopped looking – what has come out of this? Did this experience catalyze change in your personal life, and if so, how? What precious learning have you come through this experience with?
Perhaps most importantly – How can we harvest and hold on to this new understanding about ourselves as parts of the world “open up” and “return to normal”?
The complexity of these shifts deserves our thought and attention. Let’s pause and resist the urge and pressure to just go ignore or forget the lessons the pandemic taught us about ourselves. In this open discussion format, we will be holding space to explore how the last 2 and a half years have changed us. This is a space to share, listen, ask, and take time to reflect thoughtfully on our experiences.
