Event Details

Want to give your rope brain a creative boost? This workshop will give you tools for inventing and building your own suspendable harnesses that fit the person you are tying and your own personal tying style. You will bet both technical and creative skills.
We will dive deep into understanding the basic frictions used for harnesses (munter hitch variations, X-friction, L-friction, half moon) and learn about rope tension and placement for suspension of different kinds of bodies.
You will get some exercises to do after the workshop that will help you research existing harnesses to really understand what they are about, while unleashing some creativity through restriction.
