This 2-hour in-person workshop offers a foundational overview of power exchange and power dynamics within kink. It is a theoretical, lecture- and conversation-based class focused on concepts, language, and frameworks rather than physical practice.

  • Basic definitions of power and power exchange in kink
  • Different ways of playing with power from this framing, including their connection to other BDSM practices
  • Power dynamics, intention, and consent
  • Common frameworks for negotiating power dynamics
  • Language and concepts for clear communication
