Nyx (she/they) is a fat and athletic rope switch living in Austin, TX. She is passionate about accessible rope, in particular rope on bigger and older bodies. A certified trauma-informed, E-RYT yoga instructor, they have taught and trained teachers in accessible yoga practices for over a decade. She also holds a Ph.D. and has taught in academic settings for more than 25 years. Nyx practices connective rope with a sense of collaboration, empowerment, joy, and intellectual curiosity. Their study of anatomy and physiology guide their exploration of bottom-led dynamic suspensions and art-inspired scenes. A cancer survivor and pleasure activist, Nyx seeks and supports experiences that serve the greater project of embodied liberation.
