Let’s make space to acknowledge the reality that most (if not all) of us may carry some histories and experiences of trauma in our bodies. When we play with the vulnerability and intimacy of kink and BDSM, we could come into contact with these realities. How do we take better care of ourselves and one another if this is the case?
This 2-part-class will support you to enhance your negotiation skills beyond the basics of what you do and don’t want to do during play. How do you communicate and ask transparently about trauma? How could this show up and what to do if someone becomes triggered? What does safety and care look and feel like for you in a kink context? Let’s take an in-depth exploration into how we can develop our negotiation practice to be more trauma-informed.
This 2-part-class is suited for people throughout the kink spectrum, from top to bottom, Doms and subs, riggers and people who like to be tied, and switches alike – we will look from the perspective of both ‘sides’ of the equation, what needs to be known, how to support one another, and how to create negotiation styles which work for you.
