This workshop is heavy. It’s passive, it’s hard to move and hard to lift. This is a workshop for fat bottoms. We take up space, we give the ropes our full weight, we stop minimizing ourself, and we become potato sacks. Ceci will guide you in letting go and finding freedom. Technically we will explore how to give weight, what passivity means, and how being heavy can actually help movement and suspension.
Partner: tba.
Format: hands-on workshop
Minimum knowledge level: You need to bring a person who can tie you in semi-suspension or suspension. You are able to communicate boundaries. You have some understanding of how your body functions in movement and can avoid injury through modifications and/or communication.
Maximum amount of participants: as many as fit the space
What to bring: A rope top who is able to do at least semi-suspension. Enough ropes to tie a couple of harnesses and uplines.
Constellations: partnered
Passive watching is allowed
Accessibility: We will move around on the floor and it is not safe to do passive play standing up. You might end up moving around on your knees without realizing you’re doing it, so maybe bring knee pads if it’s helpful.
