Mermaid Suspension

In this mermaid suspension class, we’ll explore how to slow down and engage with our partners throughout the entire sequence. Playing with inversion, torsion, and controlled pacing, we’ll focus on making every moment in the air intentional and connected.

Maximum amount of participants: as many as fit the space

What to bring: Full rope kit

Constellations: partnered & groups, passive watching is allowed

Accessibility: we will be on the floor but can provide accommodations

Queerbaku

Queerbaku is a rigger and rope instructor based in Lyon, France. His approach to tying, movement, and pedagogy is shaped by his experience teaching queer individuals and living with chronic pain. Both calm and sadistic, he loves slow-paced sessions that explore intimacy and torment. To him, shibari is about the feeling of being held and seen.
