We all have conflicts. With ourselves, with our loved ones and our collaborators, as well as social and political ones. We often perceive the very concept of conflict as negative, and we are not often taught methods to face it. However, it can also be an opportunity to get to know ourselves and others while finding out what needs to be witnessed, improved, or transformed. It is a call to show up for ourselves, our loved ones and our community.

In this workshop, Emilian and Barbara invite you to practice essential skills to face conflict, one step at a time. The first step is to listen to ourselves. The second, to listen to others. And finally, to share our truth while showing care and respect for everybody involved.

What we will do:

  • Ground ourselves when we feel triggered, overwhelmed or numb

  • Identify and witness what you feel and need

  • Use active listening in order to understand where others are coming from

  • Express yourself truthfully and mindfully during conflict

This class is for anyone who wants to:

  • Approach conflict differently

  • Practice being in touch with their emotions

  • Improve their capacity to be gentle with themselves

  • Learn new communication techniques

  • Use these skills to strengthen community and relationships in their lives
