Reclaiming My Sexual Body

4. January 2025 – 5. January 2025, 11:00 am – 5:00 pm

Alert! Our sexual bodies have been hijacked by mainstream media and culture!

Join Ceci in throwing out those harmful myths that have been instilled in your head, and reclaim your pleasure for your own. In this workshop, we will focus on different techniques to inhabit our bodies and pleasures more fully. We will explore what science actually says about pleasure these days and how our bodies work. We will also share our experiences and celebrate successes, creating a bubble of accepting all expressions.

In practical terms, we will sound weird and move strangely but keep our clothes on and not actually touch any genitals. We’re doing dry runs together to prepare ourselves for the real wet.
The workshop includes practical solo and partnered exercises, conversations, and lecture content. You can join solo or with a person. We will sit and move on the floor but there are also different chairs available and exercises can be adapted to your needs and abilities. We will have lunch breaks as well as some shorter breaks on both days.

Who is this event for?

LGBTQIA+ describes the full spectrum of non-mainstream sexual orientation and/or gender identity, meaning: lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, transgender, non-binary, genderqueer/fluid,

Friends describes people of any and all kinds of gender and sexual identities who are aware and respectful of the necessity, needs, and boundaries of a queer safe(r) space and its marginalized community.

When you consider yourself a friend you show acknowledgement to and are respectful of everyone’s self-expression and do not assume, presume or project non-consensual ideas onto others. You actively request and use people’s chosen pronouns. You remain mindful of the fact that Karada House is first and foremost a space for queer people that you are also invited to attend. You have a genuine concern for the well-being of LGBTQIA+ people and remain in awareness of heterosexual and gender straight privileges.

Friends don’t have to be perfect. None of us are. We request that we all pro-actively work and strive to be good friends and allies to marginalized people.
