When we tie someone up, we restrict their ability to move, with more or less intensity depending on the type of shape we’re tying. Our intention here will be to push the concept of immobility in the ropes to its extreme as an experiment.
We’ll be building a partial suspension bondage where each added rope will have an impact on blocking the position and the body. Like a trap closing slowly around the bound person who in the end can only move their eyes ! After untying, we’ll analyze all together the emotions that this kind of bondage will have created to the people tied up and to the riggers.
Partner: Sixtine
Format: hands-on workshop
Minimum knowledge level: People tying must know how to tie structured harness and tie uplines. People getting tied must be used to floorwork at least. Bänana’s ropes style could be related to semenawa (ropes of torment). You need to be comfortable with this kind of dynamic. It’s important to have already discussed the framework of your practice (desires, intentions, limits, ways of managing consent).
Maximum amount of participants: 12 pairs
What to bring: 6-8 ropes, safety equipment
Constellations: pairs
Accessibility: This class is not just about repeating any patterns. It’s more about the mood of the session and communication. So people can feel free to adapt to their need.
