This workshop is a pause before taking your very first step into kink. Entirely theoretical and intentionally info-heavy, it offers a safe, low-pressure space to get familiar with what kink can be, what it is not, and how to begin exploring it without harming yourself or others.

Sex therapist Ceci Ferox will introduce the foundations of kink and BDSM, explain how consent and negotiation work in practice, and help you assess whether—and how—you might want to take your first steps.

There are no practical or physical exercises in this workshop. Participation is limited to listening, asking questions, joining the conversation, and taking notes (all entirely optional). Think of it as a map, not the journey itself. You will leave with a practical mental toolkit to use if and when you decide to embark.

What the workshop covers

  • What “kink” and BDSM mean (and the many forms they can take)
  • Common myths and misconceptions about kink
  • Consent models and negotiation basics
  • Communication, boundaries, and self-reflection
  • Emotional and physical safety considerations
  • How to evaluate readiness and next steps

Who this workshop is for

  • Beginners who are kink-curious but inexperienced
  • People who feel drawn to kink but unsure where or how to start
  • Anyone who wants clear, ethical, and safety-focused information before exploring
  • Those who prefer a non-sexual, discussion-based learning environment
  • No prior experience or knowledge is required.
