Event Details

Kissing has been a part of every single human culture, in all places, at all times. KISS ME LIKE YOU MEAN IT is an invitation to examine the contexts in which kisses happen, their dead angles and assumptions, and to negotiate slower, more conscious and creative ways of kissing.

Format: discussion & ritual

Minimum knowledge level: Beginners are welcome and advanced people are welcome with a beginner’s mind.

Maximum amount of participants: 16

Can you just watch passively? Yes-ish. All contact will be negotiated, no kiss is obligatory. It is however important that those who refuse kisses do so in taking actively part in the practice

What to bring: –

Constellations: all constellations welcome

Accessibility: I recommend that people presenting symptoms of diseases of the oral sphere (lung infection, oral herpes…) refrain from participating.

Facilitator

Vanasay Khamphommala (she/her)

Vanasay Khamphommala (ວັນນະໄຊ ຄຳພົມມາລາ) wanted to be an opera singer and did not manage to become an academic: she now does dramaturgy and performance. Her work questions European mythologies from a queer and decolonial perspective.
