This is the workshop that will make you understand how easy tying actually is. Or at least that’s the most frequent feedback Ceci gets for it.

Ceci will give you tools for inventing and building your own suspendable harnesses that fit the person you are tying and your own personal tying style. You will get both technical and creative skills. Ceci will demonstrate exercises for creating both structured and chaotic harnesses. You will also get ideas for games that feed creativity.

Workshop contents

  • Frictions, tension, and rope placement for suspendable harnesses
  • Blueprints and modular systems for building harnesses
  • Creative rulesets for improvisation and harness invention

This workshop is based on lecture content, demonstrations, and guided exercises. Parts  of the workshop are designed for tying along. We recommend watching the class live to have the opportunity to ask questions, and then taking time to practice with the recording.

The workshop is suitable for both partnered tying and self tying.

Who is this workshop for

  • Rope practitioners who want to design their own suspendable harnesses
  • Tiers looking to move beyond patterns and tie more intuitively
  • People interested in both technical structure and creative rope
