Artistic Performance and Kink

1. Artistic and erotic experiences have more in common than meets the eye. They speak both to the mind and to the senses, they can be collective or individual, they are an attempt to connect — to oneself, to others, to the world — through a given form.

Caritia and Vanasay will share their experience as creators of the performance The Invocation of the Muse and help participants develop their own creative processes.

The workshop will lead to short digital presentations of the participants’ performances. What would you like to see? What would you like to show? How can we take advantage artistically of the intrinsic erotic energy of artistic performances that involve our energies as voyeurs and/or exhibitionists?

This workshop consists of two sessions. The first 15th April and the second 22nd April. Both dates are included the price of the workshop.

What to Bring:  an open mind, the grace to listen. It is advised that you have a working computer/laptop or mobile phone

Solo or Partnered:  both (each participant needs a ticket)

What we will teach/do

• Identifying the intersection between kink/performance

•  Discussing a few examples of landmark kink performances

• Developing a project for a performance: examining one’s desires, one’s projections, one’s limits, negotiating the relationship with the audience and the performance context

• Negotiating feedback

• Preparing, rehearsing, performing

What else to know

The workshop will lead to short, digital presentations of the participants’ performances. Your ticket purchase is for 2 x 3-hour workshops taking place over consecutive weeks.
