Accessibility notes
Participants should expect exercises around finger, toe, hair and face rope. There will be alternatives ways to tie faces for those who cannot have rope on their skin or have hair rope.

Make the most of tying extremities in floor ties and beyond. We will cover how to tie fingers, toes, hair and faces safe(ly) to create different sensations and headspaces. We will use these elements to create the focal point of a tie rather than an afterthought.

Portrait photo of Genks

Genks (she/they)

Genks has been part of the Edinburgh rope scene for well over a decade. She is a switch, but primarily a rigger. Genks ties with an eye for detail, creativity, asymmetry and making a big ol’ mess in ropes. She enjoys creating catharsis in scenes (in whatever flavour that comes). Their teaching style aims to encourage playfulness, fun and aesthetics rooted in organic shapes.

Hanimal (she/they)

Hanimal, also part of the Edinburgh scene, has bottomed for rope on and off since 2011 and is currently training up her skills as a rigger. Her rope is playful and curious, blending exploration with a touch of mischief. She loves being contorted into ridiculous shapes and will always look for an opportunity to make it weirder.
