


Kani Shibari (蟹縛り), also known as the “crab tie”, is a traditional form of bondage in which the wrists and ankles are tied together, usually with legs spread apart for exposure and shame play.
In this workshop, Naoko will explore:
– The background and feelings of Kani Shibari
– The relationship between M-shape and Kani Shibari
– How to do Kani Shibari in a progressive way
This workshop will consist of discussions and a demonstration. Students are encouraged to actively participate in the discussions and therefore this workshop will not be recorded.

Minimum Knowledge Level: No prior knowledge required. Participants should be comfortable with the idea of shame play and curious about tying in a progressive way. This workshop is not suitable for participants who would like to learn fixed shapes or suspension sequences.
Students who would like to practise the tie after the workshop will need to have mastered:
1 – Single column tie
2 – Double column tie
3 – Basic frictions
4 – Tension
5 – Basic understanding of tsuri line management
