Pushing back against demands and desires for an ever more efficient, economical, and professionalized tying style, this workshop will examine the tensions between efficiency and expression. We’ll start with a look at Jacques Lecoq’s concept of the “neutral mask” and move to a celebration of the queer pleasures of delay and excess.
