Donate To Our BIPOC Shibari Weekend 2026
We would like to ask you for your help. In May 2026, we wish to offer an entire Shibari weekend for BIPOC people at Karada House. For that to make sense, it is necessary to raise some funds to make this event truly accessible to everyone. A little money will go a long way!
BIPOC Shibari Weekend
May 22 – 24, 2026, Berlin
For three days, BIPOC folks are invited to gather for a BIPOC-led Shibari weekend rooted in learning, connection, and shared practice. This gathering is intentionally created as a space for BIPOC participants to explore rope in community—with care, curiosity, and respect for the many ways we come to this practice. This space prioritizes collective exchange, harm reduction, and embodied learning amongst BIPOC folks.
In order to make this happen and lower the financial barriers for participants as much as we can, we need your help! If you can, please donate to our fund for this project. Yes, even 1 Euro helps to make this happen!
What do we need donations for?
All funds go directly toward the implementation of the event and ensure participation regardless of income.
- Food: €500
- Travel bursaries (€40–200 per person): €1,200
- Honoraria for teachers: €800
- Honorarium for space holder: €350
Total costs: €2,850
Why is this project important?
For many BIPOC people, Shibari can be a transformative practice.
It will
- support body awareness and mental well-being,
- enable empowerment and reclamation,
- build connection and community,
- open up a creative space that is otherwise rarely inclusive or accessible.
With your support, we can create a space that is truly BIPOC-led, low-barrier, and financially accessible.
