Art of Shibari - Upper Body Ties (Queers & Womxn)

Welcome, curious minds. This shibari class is intended for Queers & Womxn  beginner’s & intermediate practicioners of Japanese inspired rope bondage.

In this 3 hour workshop Caritia will take you through principles of tying an upper body ties.

This workshop will teach you

• rope terminology

• rope movement

• rope handling

• principles of tying an upper body tie

• a step by step instruction of takate kote (tk)

• alternatives to those who are different bodied

• health and safety aspects

Bring your ropes, if you can. We can also provide you with workshop ropes, if you don’t have any.

Requirements:

This workshop requires that you have the following basic knowledge – single & double column tie, as well as an awareness of tension and rope flow.
