SUMMARY:Navigating Apologies
DESCRIPTION:Apologizing is something that all of us are very familiar with\, weather we like it or not. It is an essential part of how we sustain relationships and practice consensual and meaningful connections. \n\n\n\nIt plays a role in every relationships\, where many of us need to unlearn hetero- and mononormative norms and in this process of unlearning we come across lots of obstacles and trials&errors. Apologizing becomes a central figure in practicing sustainable relationships.  \n\n\n\nWhat We Will Do in this Workshop\n\n\n\nYaniv would like to invite the participants for a little deep dive into what it means to apologize in an accountable and responsible way by looking into a helpful definition of the term accountablity.  \n\n\n\nWe will talk about the different elements of a good apology\, define each participants responsibility and role. It can be difficult to look into apologizing from different angles\, because we need to open up towards the reality that each story can have multiple truths. There will be some voluntary exercises that can help in the future when confronted with a difficult and/or hurtful situation that requires to deal with the process of accountability. Each and everyone can explore those on their own. \n\n\n\nDuring that process we will differentiate between accepting\, forgiving and moving forward. And take a close look into what it needs to be able to gain some clarity on where we stand during that process. \n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:Should I Stay or Should I Go?
DESCRIPTION:Whether or not to end a relationship is sometimes one of the most difficult decisions in life. No one can make that decision for you\, but there are factors we can look at to make it easier. Whether or not to end a relationship is sometimes one of the most difficult decisions in life. No one can make that decision for you\, but there are factors we can look at to make it easier. How do we feel around people who bring us joy\, lift us up and support us to become the person we want to be? How do we feel differently towards relationships that do the exact opposite of that? How do we idenfity essential needs that we have in our relationships with others? And what are potential red flags and boundaries we need to explore a bit more in order to decide whether or not to end a relationship?  \n\n\n\nWhat We Will Do in this Workshop\n\n\n\nYaniv will guide you through different perspectives and possible ways to look at a break up and let’s gain some clarity about your own needs. Besides compatibility\, fighting patterns and general dynamics that make a long lasting\, sustainable relationship\, we want to explore the potential beauty of a breakup. \n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:Living in connection – Skills for Mastering Relationships in your Life
DESCRIPTION:  \nWe spend our entire lives in relationships that shape\, form and change our lives on a daily basis. Rarely do we have the opportunity to take a closer look at how we actually live relationships and the challenges we often face. \nWe will get the chance to look at various puzzle pieces regarding our communication and conflict styles and patterns\, that make us and our relationships so unique and likewise challenging. \nEmbrace this weekend as an opportunity to challenge your communication and conflict patterns and master your skills for living in sustainable and long lasting relationships. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  November 16-17\, 2024\, 11-5 pm \nFormat: workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & Womên \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: – \nWhat to Bring:  Comfortable clothing\, pen and paper \nSolo or Partnered:  all constellations welcome\, you can come as a couple but this is not a couple-centered workshop \nWhat we will do \nThe workshop is a combination of small input parts & discussion & excercises in various constellations.\nWe will be working mostly in small groups between 3-5 people\, there will also be solo exercises and we will work in pairs. Sometimes we will meet in the big group and discuss what was learned/gained in the small exercises. Everyone is welcome to take (additional) breaks whenever they see fit or would like to opt out from an exercise. \nPeople will learn\n– (Re)Connecting with out values when it comes to communication and conflicts and why it makes our communication more effective when we’re aware of them\n– Putting our Values into action – identifying the questions we need to be asking/be more aware of when we communicate + talking about potential difficulties people might encounter\n– Various strategies to approach and learn about conflicts and why it is a great source of knowledge about us and others\n– Easy but effective Communication skills to get rid of misunderstandings and frustration in communication patterns\n– More about their own communication style and pattern\n– Different ways that a sentence we’re voicing can come across/be interpreted and equally looking at what we (actually) want to communicate when we’re voicing something.\n– People will also get the chance to practice new ways of communication\, identify sentences or words that are tricky/misunderstanding and how we can communicate more clearly in order to avoid frustration \n  \nSafety Concept & Regulation \nPlease consult our safety concept and regulations for this event here. \n  \nAccommodation \nWe can offer accommodation for this workshop at the workshop space. We have mattresses\, pillows\, duvets and bed linens. There is a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with shower available. We ask for 10 Euros/night and person. The space\, KARA\, is on the ground floor but has three steps to enter the house. A ramp for wheelchairs is available at all times. There is also a parking space available right in front of the door if needed. KARA has an accessible bathroom available. There are no thresholds in the entire house. The garden is only partially accessible at the moment. During the workshop\, we will sit on the floor. Sitting in a chair can also be provided. Adaptations for physical needs will be shown and can also be provided upon request. If you participate in this workshop and need more assistance\, please message us at info@karada-house.de beforehand. \n  \nWho is this event for? \nLGBTQIA+ describes the full spectrum of non-mainstream sexual orientation and/or gender identity\, meaning: lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, pansexual\, transgender\, non-binary\, genderqueer/fluid\, queer\, intersex\, asexual\, aromantic\, agender. \nWomên describes people who are identifying themselves as female in their gender identity. People that fit this category can be part of the LGBTQIA+ spectrum or not. We created this category specifically to indicate that we also invite cisgender\, heterosexual womên. \nThe word is our own creation and serves as a replacement for the word “womxn” which is now being (ab)used for transmisogynist statements. The ^ in womên represents a marker (similar to the “x” in womxn) that wishes to give emphasis to the fact that womênhood is an intersectional umbrella term that holds many different people and experiences and is not biologically predetermined. \nThe word is our own creation and serves as a replacement for the word “womxn” which is now being (ab)used for transmisogynist statements.
