SUMMARY:Safer Spaces For: Hot with Words
DESCRIPTION:Karada House joins forces with the soft collective to offer a two part workshop on erotic writing. \nHot with words is a collective writing workshop that offers a safe and supportive space for queer people to explore pleasure through the art of the erotic essay.  We’ll delve into the power of language to evoke desire\, intimacy\, and self-discovery. \nThrough free writing\, guided exercises\, shared readings\, and collaborative feedback\, you’ll learn to craft compelling erotic narratives that celebrate sensuality and explore the multifaceted nature of pleasure.  No prior writing experience is necessary – just a willingness to explore and express yourself. \nPart I\, April 10th. 2025: \n– Sharing and connection \n– Reflecting and choosing our focus \n– Creating your erotic essay \n  \nPart II\, April 17th\, 2025: \n– Collaborative feedback \n– Continuing the narrative \n– Sharing and reflection \nIf you want more Hot with words: Karada house in collaboration with the soft collective will produce a deep dive in-house workshop in the form of Safer Spaces For: Unhad Conversations to produce audiovisual work with the participants in fall/winter 2025/26. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  April 10th & 17th\, 7 pm-10 pm CET (Berlin time) \nFormat: workshop (virtual) \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ only \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: No prior knowledge needed. \nWhat to Bring: Writing tools. \nSolo or Partnered:  all constellations welcome (everyone needs a ticket) \nClass recording: Yes. The recording will be made available after the live class for 14 days. \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop and discussion are held in spoken English with automated captions in English which are provided by Zoom. Communication within the class can be had via chat but also people can come on mic and speak. If you participate in this workshop and need more assistance\, i.e. someone reading out the chat\, etc\, please message us at info@karada-house.de beforehand.  \n  \nWho is this event for? \nLGBTQIA+ describes the full spectrum of non-mainstream sexual orientation and/or gender identity\, meaning: lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, pansexual\, transgender\, non-binary\, genderqueer/fluid\, queer\, intersex\, asexual\, aromantic\, agender. \nFriends describes people of any and all kinds of gender and sexual identities who are aware and respectful of the necessity\, needs\, and boundaries of a queer safe(r) space and its marginalized community. \nWhen you consider yourself a friend you show acknowledgement to and are respectful of everyone’s self-expression and do not assume\, presume or project non-consensual ideas onto others. You actively request and use people’s chosen pronouns. You remain mindful of the fact that Karada House is first and foremost a space for queer people that you are also invited to attend. You have a genuine concern for the well-being of LGBTQIA+ people and remain in awareness of heterosexual and gender straight privileges. \nFriends don’t have to be perfect. None of us are.
