SUMMARY:Hair Ties
DESCRIPTION:  \nLearn multiple ways to tie the hair! Controlling the hair means controlling the head which is a powerful experience for the recipient. \nThis class will cover a variety of methods for hair of different lengths\, and textures. Whether you want to restrict the head\, achieve some sensual pulling\, or even support the head in a suspension\, this is the class for you! \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  January 3rd\, 2024\, 7 pm-9 pm CET (Berlin time) \nFormat: workshop (virtual) \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: single column tie\, basic knots and frictions\, knowledge about tension \nWhat to Bring: Participants should bring at a minimum: one-half length of typical natural fiber Shibari rope (5-6mm\, 4m long\, jute or hemp). Hair elastics will also be necessary for some ties. The types that are like rubber bands are generally best. Participants are ENCOURAGED to bring smaller diameter rope (4mm)\, and different types of natural fiber twine/string/yarn.\nA model/bottom (or yourself) with hair at least around 13cm. This can be a section of the head at this length\, such as just the top of the head\, similar to many “men’s” haircuts that are longer on top. Best NOT to have freshly washed hair! \nSolo or Partnered:  all constellations welcome\, everyone needs a ticket \nClass recording: Yes. The recording will be made available after the live class for 14 days. \n  \nWhat we will teach: \nconsiderations for tying the hair including safety and comfort\n-using materials other than typical Shibari rope\n-four different ways to tie the hair\, ideas for how to use each\, and the hair that may be suitable for it\n-special considerations when using hair ties in a suspension \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop and discussion are held in spoken English with automated captions in English which are provided by Zoom. Communication within the class can be had via chat but also people can come on mic and speak. You actively request and use people’s chosen pronouns. You remain mindful of the fact that Karada House is first and foremost a space for queer people that you are also invited to attend.
