SUMMARY:Rope in the Air: Predicaments & Playfulness
DESCRIPTION:Let’s not get too serious with this suspension stuff. This class is playful. It’s annoying\, it’s painful. It’s full of “fuck you”s\, but in a loving way. We will practice predicament shapes\, where something always sucks\, but you get to choose how. We’ll play some rope games to make things fun. This is an evening of playing together\, with instructions of course. All of the ties are done in partial suspension. \nRope in the Air\nYou’ve got your groundwork sorted. Now we take things up — literally. Learn suspension techniques from easy to challenging in these classes offering content from beginner suspensions to pushing limits.

SUMMARY:Shibari Suspensions Unlocked
DESCRIPTION:A two-day weekend that takes you from “I have a harness and a hardware store’s worth of questions” to confidently getting a body off the floor\, and having fun once it’s there. \nThis weekend bundles the core of our Rope in the Air series into one workshop. On day one\, you learn the technical foundations of suspension: lines\, locks\, attachments\, and how to keep everyone safe. On day two\, you learn how to play with them: movement\, predicaments\, and a little power exchange. Most of the work happens in partial suspension\, which means the floor stays close and the learning curve stays friendly. \nThis is a paired workshop\, please find a partner beforehand. The ticket price is per pair. Please note that this is not a beginner class: you should already be fluent with single and double column ties\, frictions\, suspension-worthy harnesses\, and be able to communicate about safety (hand checks\, nerves\, troubleshooting). \nJoin us for the full weekend\, or pick the day that suits you best: \n\nGet Your Saturday (Lines & Lift-Off)\, only ticket here.\nGet Your Sunday (Play in the Air)\, only ticket here.\n\nLines & Lift-Off\nThe first day of our suspension unlocked weekend is for technical nerdery\, safety considerations\, and gently easing into your first full suspension. You will get suspension right before getting it fancy. \nWe will walk you through the hardware and technical safety side: how to choose gear you can trust\, how to attach suspension lines to a harness\, and how to lock off main and secondary lines on rings\, bamboo\, and carabiners (including what to do when your rope jams). \nOnce the lines behave\, we put them to work. You’ll practice attaching a harness to a main line\, adding limbs with secondary lines\, and working in partial suspension\, solo or partnered. Then we ease into a gentle introduction to going completely airborne: how to protect the body from injury\, what to do when things go sideways\, how to communicate before\, during\, and after\, and how the angle of the body changes the whole experience. The goal is the feeling of being suspended\, not a heroic photo or acrobatic manouvers. \nYou can attend Lines & Lift-Off solo or with a partner. \nTake Aways:\n\nSuspension hardware and technical safety\nAttaching suspension lines to harnesses: single column tie\, Y hanger\, yuki knot bite saver\nLock-offs on ring\, bamboo\, and carabiner\nMain and secondary lines\nPhysical and emotional safety in suspension\, and how to communicate\nPartial suspension practice\nLeaving the floor completely with a side suspension\n\nPlay in the Air\nSunday is where the suspension lines start to add to the fun. Some people like static suffering in suspension\, some people want to move around and dance. This day is for discovering the opportunities verticality brings to your bondage. \nSuspension lines are not useful only for getting into the air\, they also bring a new element to your floor based sessions. We start with a warm-up in partial suspension\, using the rope for leverage and figuring out how to move a body around with the least amount of effort (yours and theirs). We will explore how to create exposure and connection with simple suspension lines. \nThen we get playful. We’ll practice predicament shapes\, where something always sucks and you get to choose how. We will also play rope games to keep things interesting and find new dynamics to explore. You will learn how to collaborate as a bottom – and how to not. \nWe will explore face-up and leg opening positions\, predicament\, movement\, and restriction. All of it is done in partial suspension\, so you can keep your focus on each other instead of stressing about the rope. \nYou will need a partner for Play in the Air. \nTake Aways:\n\nMoving bodies with suspension lines\nRestriction & power exchange on the vertical plane\nRope games & fun\nPredicament shapes in partial suspension\nFace-up partial suspension\nLeg opening partial suspension

SUMMARY:Shibari Starter Kit
DESCRIPTION:Kick off your rope journey with a weekend that bundles our entire Rope Fundamentals series into one playful\, beginner-friendly shibari workshop. \nAcross two days\, you’ll move from the simplest building blocks to a clear understanding of how harnesses work. Whether you’re brand new\, brushing off old skills\, or craving a solid base before exploring deeper techniques\, this weekend is designed to set you up with confidence\, creativity\, and connection. \nYou can bring someone to tie with or come solo and find a partner at the workshop. \nJoin us for the full journey\, or pick the day that suits you best: \n\nGet Your Saturday (Foundations & Fun)\, only ticket here.\nGet your Sunday (Nerdery & Harnesses)\, only ticket here.\n\nFoundations & Fun\nSaturday gives you the tools that make shibari fun — or intense\, or meditative\, or horny\, or whatever flavor of rope you want to create. We will get you started with the most essential techniques: lark’s head\, single column tie\, clean wrapping\, managing tension\, and staying safe. Once those basics are in place\, we spend the rest of the day putting them to use in playful\, intuitive ways. \nWe’ll explore freestyle tying and improvisation to loosen the pressure of “doing it right.” Through one-rope exercises\, wrapping\, unwrapping\, and re-wrapping bodies\, you’ll learn to follow curiosity instead of memorizing patterns. Because rope isn’t static — people move — we’ll also practice guiding and responding to movement through levers\, spirals\, and simple transitions like sitting to standing or shifting limbs mid-tie. \nAlong the way\, we dive into the emotional and psychological effects of rope: how body positions\, pacing\, tension\, and proximity can shift headspace and shape intention. With just a few simple ties\, you’ll learn to create sessions that feel impactful\, intimate\, and expressive. \nTake Aways: \n\nLarkshead & single column tie\nRope safety\nOne rope tying\, wrapping & unwrapping\nPlaying with different intentions and moods\nMoving bodies & tying in movement\n\nNerdery & Harnesses\nSunday is for the rope nerds (or for anyone ready to become one). We dive into the mechanics behind stable\, comfortable\, body-friendly tying. We’ll explore how to apply rope with intention\, how to create structures that fit real bodies\, and how to make your tying smoother\, safer\, and more efficient. \nYou’ll learn counter tensions\, ladder structures\, your first frictions\, and how to wrap with flow and consistency. These building blocks are what allow harnesses to hold their shape. We’ll also cover ergonomics and hand techniques\, like hooking and pulling rope\, so you can tie for longer without soreness or strain. \nWith these tools in place\, we’ll begin tying simple harnesses and\, more importantly\, understanding why they work. You’ll get a clear picture of the core components (anchors\, stems\, wraps\, frictions\, and cinches) and start recognizing the logic behind shibari structures. This modular thinking becomes the foundation for everything that comes after. \nTake Aways: \n\nDouble column tie\nRope handling & ergonomics\nTension\, counter tension & ladders\nIntro to harnesses: anchors\, stems\, wraps\, frictions\, cinches\nFrictions: Half hitch\, full stop\, munter hitch\, in-line single column tie\nOne rope harnesses: chest harness\, futomomo\, box tie

SUMMARY:Shibari Structures Toolbox
DESCRIPTION:A two-day deep dive into the building blocks of shibari: how structures are created\, and how they shape bodies. \nThis weekend brings together two complementary workshops based on our Rope Structures series\, that move from understanding how ties work to exploring what they do. On day one\, Building Blocks & Design Choices focuses on the foundations of structure: harness construction\, frictions\, and the design decisions that make ties stable\, adaptable\, and expressive. You’ll develop a modular way of thinking about rope\, moving beyond fixed patterns into understanding the logic behind them. You will learn a gote (arms behind the back tie)\, a mermaid tie\, and a hip harness. \nOn day two\, Restricting Bodies\, we apply those same building blocks to create intentional restriction. We’ll explore how rope can shape posture\, limit movement\, and create specific physical and emotional experiences\, working with positions\, connections\, and simple setups that bring structure into the body. You will learn Ceci’s arms front harness\, a futomomo\, a crab tie\, and how to connect body parts to harnesses and furniture. \nTogether\, these workshops offer a practical and exploratory approach to shibari: not just learning ties\, but learning how to build and use them with intention. The focus throughout is on adaptability\, body awareness\, and making informed choices\, whether you’re tying for aesthetics\, play\, or deeper exploration. \nYou can join for one day or both\, but attending the full weekend will give you the clearest sense of progression from structure to application. Buy a full weekend ticket here\, or navigate to the descriptions of each day for a one-day ticket. \nJoin us for the full weekend\, or pick the day that suits you best: \n\nGet Your Saturday (Building Blocks & Design Choices)\, only ticket here.\nGet Your Sunday (Restricting Bodies)\, only ticket here.\n\nBuilding Blocks & Design Choices\nShibari is not just about what you tie\, but how and why you build it. \nThe first day of our Toolbox weekend focuses on the underlying structures that make ties functional\, adaptable\, and expressive. Instead of learning one fixed pattern\, you’ll develop a modular understanding of rope: how suspension harnesses are constructed\, how frictions shape tension and stability\, and how small design choices change both the look and feel of a tie. \nWe’ll work with core building blocks: wraps\, frictions (X\, L\, half-moon)\, and basic harness blueprints\, learning and understanding how to build a gote (TK/box tie)\, a hip harness\, and a mermaid tie. From there\, we’ll explore how different traditions and styles approach similar structures\, and what happens when you start modifying the blueprint. \nAlong the way\, we’ll look at body geometry\, balance\, and how to adapt ties to different bodies and intentions. The goal is not to memorize patterns\, but to understand the logic behind them so you can build\, adjust\, and tie with more confidence. \nThis workshop is ideal for those ready to move beyond fundamentals into more intentional and structured tying. \nWhat to expect \n\nHands-on work with core structural elements: wraps\, frictions\, and harness foundations\nIntroduction to key frictions (X\, L\, half-moon) and how they affect tension and stability\nA modular approach to building and modifying harnesses rather than memorizing patterns\nGote\, hip harness\, and mermaid tie\nExploration of different tying styles and how design choices shape outcomes\n\nRestricting Bodies\nThe second day of our toolbox weekend explores how to use rope to create clear\, intentional restrictions in the body — whether through tying limbs together\, shaping posture\, or connecting a body to itself\, another person\, or an object. We’ll work with positions such as hogties\, folded and asymmetrical shapes\, and tying to furniture\, using accessible tools like single column ties\, basic harnesses\, and frictions. \nTo continue growing your shibari harness toolbox\, you will learn Ceci’s arms front chest harness\, a structured futomomo\, and a crab tie. You can also continue practicing harnesses from the previous day’s workshop. This workshop gives you a first taste of techniques you will need for moving into shibari suspensions. \nWe’ll also cover practical considerations like transitions\, adaptability for different bodies and flexibility levels\, and maintaining awareness of safety while working with restriction. \nThis is a hands-on\, exploratory space to better understand how rope shapes bodies\, and how to make intentional choices about the kind of experience you’re creating. \nWhat to expect \n\nPractice with tying body parts together and creating restrictive positions\nExploration of classic positions (e.g.\, hogtie\, M-shape\, kata-ashi) and their variations\nWorking with harnesses\, single column ties\, and basic frictions to build restriction\nAttention to how restriction changes sensation\, movement\, and experience\nGuidance on adapting positions for different bodies\, flexibility\, and contexts

SUMMARY:Rope Fundamentals: Basic Harness Blueprint
DESCRIPTION:What makes a harness… a harness? This class introduces modular thinking. Learn about structural components like stems\, wraps\, frictions\, and cinches\, and apply them to simple ties. You’ll build on your understanding of how and why harnesses are constructed\, not just how they look. \nRope Fundamentals\nStart here if you’re new to rope\, want a solid foundation of shibari skills\, or need to get back to basics. You’ll learn the “what” and the “how” of tying: handling your rope\, basic knots\, simple harnesses\, and how rope can connect bodies and moods. We keep it relaxed\, safe\, and supportive.
