DESCRIPTION:Different positions of the tied body are not just visual or practical. \nOur posture\, position\, and relation to each other directly affect how we feel and what the dynamics of our play become. \nIn this workshop\, Ceci Ferox will help you build more mindful play sessions. You learn how to position bodies intentionally. \n  \nNote: The price is per pair. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  August 19th\, 2021\, 8.45 pm – 10.15 pm \nFormat: workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: either you attended our “absolute beginner” class or you know: single column tie\, double column tie\, tension/counter tension\, lark’s head \nWhat to Bring:  ropes\, towel\, or blanket (we can provide workshop ropes if you have none\, you can also buy ropes from us) \nSolo or Partnered: a partner to tie with\, one rope (let us know if you don’t have one) \n  \nWhat we will teach you \n–  Emotional effects of different upper body positions \n–  Relationships between the tied and tying body and their effects on the play dynamics \n–  Practical exercises \n–  Verbal reflection between partners and in the group \n  \nSafety Concept \nYou need to bring proof of testing (not older than 24 hours)\, or proof of vaccination in order to be let inside. \nHand disinfectant provided in multiple places. All surfaces are disinfected and will be disinfected in between use. \nSpace is limited to give more space for everyone. \nWe frequently air the space and also use fans for more circulation. \nYou must wear a mask at all times. \n  \nWho is this event for? \nLGBTQIA+ describes the full spectrum of non-mainstream sexual orientation and/or gender identity\, meaning: lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, pansexual\, transgender\, non-binary\, genderqueer/fluid\, \nFriends describes people of any and all kinds of gender and sexual identities who are aware and respectful of the necessity\, needs\, and boundaries of a queer safe(r) space and its marginalized community. \nWhen you consider yourself a friend you show acknowledgment to and are respectful of everyone’s self-expression and do not assume\, presume or project non-consensual ideas onto others. You actively request and use people’s chosen pronouns. You remain mindful of the fact that Karada House is first and foremost a space for queer people that you are also invited to attend. SUMMARY:Kinky – Identity or Preference?
DESCRIPTION:Kink is seen as something dirty that needs to be hidden\, something you choose to do instead of needing. \nStill very recently being kinky was a mental disorder\, a paraphilia that was pathologized. The normative gay community has been trying to keep a distance to BDSM because of politics\, even though it’s an integral part of queer culture. Some people still fear for their jobs and their family ties in case their kinky activities would come out. And some people get turned on by feeling wrong\, by being stigmatized. \nBeing kinky has a different meaning for different people. For some\, it is a primary sexual identity\, more important than things like the gender of partners or genital-based sexual activity. For others\, it’s a secondary identity\, and for many\, it’s the spice for the bedroom or a preference they can live without. \nJoin Ceci for this exploration of kink through performance and discussion. Share stories\, get political\, feel like you found a home\, feel alienated\, get angry\, give support\, listen.
