SUMMARY:Open Rope Training (Intermediate): Ceci’s Arms in Front Chest Harness
DESCRIPTION:This bi-weekly intermediate open rope training is directed at building on what has been taught in the Beginner Open Rope Training. \nPlease note that the classes will be taught in different styles from this level onwards.  \nTeacher: Ceci Ferox \nStyle: Ceci’s tying is best described as fusion-style with a deep understanding of different schools of Japanese rope bondage. They are a specialist in modifying harnesses to different body shapes\, sizes\, compositions\, and abilities. Ceci is driven by understanding why people tie the way they tie\, and loves to deconstruct technique and communication into their basic elements to understand them better. In suspension\, Ceci prefers working low\, staying connected\, and moving through transitions. \nTopic of Exploration: Ceci’s Arms in Front Chest Harness \nThis technical rope workshop will focus on a versatile and simple upper body harness designed by Ceci that can be adapted for different bodies. The base form of the harness has the hands tied in the front. We will also look at some other hand position options. The workshop also sneakily teaches you rope tension and placement on different bodies. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month\, 7 pm-9 pm CET (Berlin) \nFormat: hands-on workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: single-/double column tie\, basic frictions\, you need to be able to tie a box tie /TK\, simple up-lines \nWhat to Bring: comfortable clothes that are more tight fitting if possible\, a set of 8 of your own ropes\, safety equipment \nSolo or Partnered:  preferably partnered but you can also partner up in the class with other solo people or tie yourself (everyone needs a ticket) \nPrice: 25 Euros per person \n  \nNote: \nThe class starts at 7 pm sharp. If you are not sure you can come\, please purchase your ticket on the day as soon as you are absolutely sure you can make it. \nIf you know you will come to the open training more than just once\, please ask for our discount card! (For every 5 classes\, the 6th class is on us!) \n  \nMandatory Covid-19 rules \nIf you would like to inform yourself about other safety measures we have in place\, please consult our Covid-19 measurements here. \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop is held in spoken English. German can also be provided. The space\, KARA\, is on the ground floor but has three steps to enter the house. A ramp for wheelchairs is available at all times. SUMMARY:Second law of thermodynamics
DESCRIPTION:  \nThis workshop is all about embracing entropy\, aka chaos\, in your tying. We will figure out the essential structures\, only to take them apart and break the rules. The goal is to find new kinds of creativity in tying (with the risk of failing spectacularly). Ceci will guide you through the process with clear drills that give your chaos a framework. You can take your creations up in the air or keep them firmly on the ground. \nPartner: Emory \n  \nFormat: research lab \nMinimum knowledge level: You have experience in tying and being tied in structured harnesses and know how to assess for risks in ropes. If you plan to suspend\, you need to be fluent with your suspension lines – they should flow out of your hands without thinking. If you plan to be suspended\, you need to be able to handle your body in a way that keeps you safe (enough). \nMaximum amount of participants: as many as fit \nWhat to bring: At least 10 ropes (depending on what your body needs)\, safety equipment \nConstellations: all constellations welcome \nAccessibility: any accessibility needs can be incorporated into the chaos

We recommend sharing what you know with others even if you just began to tie. Teaching is the best way to learn! We have an introduction circle and go through the code of conduct and other important information. You will also see who else is there. SUMMARY:Open Rope Training for Beginners: Restricting & Controlling Movement
DESCRIPTION:This bi-weekly open training is designed for anyone who would like to learn about Japanese-inspired rope bondage/shibari/kinbaku whether you see yourself in the role of the person tying or being tied. \nOur open rope training for beginners is a continuous offer for anyone looking for a regular practice space to advance their skills. Each time we will offer a teaching on one particular topic. Depending on your skill level and how quickly you can pick up on things\, you can then either use the remaining open-space time to practice this one new skill in your own time or you can up the ante with the help of your teacher. You can also choose to train your own skills on another topic if you like and have a teacher give you feedback and help you improve. \n  \nTopic of the week: Restricting & Controlling Movement \nRestriction is a big part of why we love rope bondage\, and there’s only so much you can do with tying harnesses on separate body parts. This open training teaches you how to attach limbs to harnesses and furniture. It’s also a great first step for starting to figure out suspension lines. \nTeacher of the week: René de Sans \n \nYou can come alone or with a partner. You can tie yourself or your partner. Alternatively\, you can partner up with another participant. \nYou can but do not need to bring any ropes as we will provide workshop ropes for you. \nYou can also spontaneously come by on the day and purchase a ticket online right up to the beginning of the class if there is space left. \n  \nNote: \nThe class starts at 7 pm sharp. Please arrive 15 minutes earlier so we can process your ticket and welcome you. Once the class has started we do not allow entry. You cannot transfer your ticket to another week. If you are not sure you can come\, please purchase your ticket on the day as soon as you are absolutely sure you can make it. \nIf you know you will come to the open training more than just once\, please ask for our discount card! (For every 5 classes\, the 6th class is on us!) \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  every other Wednesday\, 7 pm-9 pm CET (Berlin) \nFormat: hands-on workshop \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: you have knowledge on the topics of rope safety\, consent\, and boundaries\, you have been to our “Rope for Absolute Beginners” class at  or have solid knowledge of single & double-column ties\, wrapping\, tension & counter tension \nWhat to Bring: comfortable clothes that are more tight fitting if possible\, 1-3 of your own ropes (we can also provide ropes for you) \nSolo or Partnered:  solo\, partnered\, in a group (everyone needs a ticket) \nPrice: 25 Euros \n  \nWhat happens next? \nThe Open Rope Training for Beginners is an ongoing course designed to run approx. 8 months with constantly new topics. Within this ongoing course you can work on a lower as well as higher knowledge level. We really recommend not rushing things and really settling into coming to this open training on a long-term basis. If you feel like you are too advanced\, please talk to your teacher(s) about switching to the “Open Rope Training – Next Level” next. \n  \nMandatory Covid-19 rules \nIf you would like to inform yourself about other safety measures we have in place\, please consult our Covid-19 measurements here. \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop is held in spoken English. SUMMARY:Open Rope Training (Intermediate): Chaos
In suspension\, Ceci prefers working low\, staying connected\, and moving through transitions. \nTopic of Exploration: CHAOS \nEmbrace the chaos and join Ceci in this training that breaks the rules. We’re going to try to forget logic and structure while still ending up with something functional. You actively request and use people’s chosen pronouns. You remain mindful of the fact that Karada House is first and foremost a space for queer people that you are also invited to attend. You have a genuine concern for the well-being of LGBTQIA+ people and remain in awareness of heterosexual and gender-straight privileges. \nFriends don’t have to be perfect. None of us are. SUMMARY:Kink Camp 4 Fat Folx
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to 3-days of sensual\, kinky\, cuddly\, and playful connection for fat people\, only. \nFacilitated by 3 fat facilitators\, Kink Camp is a space for us to explore our sensual\, erotic\, and kinky selves within the comforts of a fat-only community. You can expect fun workshops\, delicious food\, and delightful play spaces. \nWhile there’s space to talk about and explore the political and cultural intersections of our fat bodies\, it’s not the objective of the weekend to theorize and deep-dive. We want to open this space where our fatness isn’t necessarily the topic of our gathering\, but rather a unifying embodiment community. \nWe open this invitation to self-identified fat folx. We’ve chosen to omit clothing sizes as the ‘cut off’ is quite culturally specific. This space is for folx who experience institutionalized fatphobia. If you’re unsure as to whether or not this applies to you\, please consider: \nDo you experience fatphobia in kink spaces?\nCan you purchase clothing in ‘straight size’ shops?\nDo you experience fatphobia in medical settings? \nIf you’d like further guidance\, reach out. We’re happy to help! \n  \nFriday\, August 9th: Getting to know each-other \nFriday evening we will meet at Karada House and take time to get to know each other.
