SUMMARY:The Fat Rope Hang
DESCRIPTION:This is a space dedicated to everyone self-identifying as fat who’s into shibari or other types of rope bondage. We will luxuriate\, rant\, do rope\, and just generally engage in revolutionary action. \nTogether\, we’ll center fat joy\, fat bodies\, and fat experience in rope — without apology and without shrinking ourselves. This gathering prioritizes comfort\, accessibility\, and unmasking\, with an emphasis on sharing knowledge\, building confidence\, and unlearning the ways mainstream rope spaces often exclude or overlook us. \nWhat will happen?\nThe Fat Rope Hang is not a class or performance space. It’s a facilitated hang where you’re welcome to: \n\nTie or be tied at your own pace\nShare frustrations\, wins\, and questions about navigating rope as a fat person\nExperiment\, rest\, watch\, talk\, or simply exist in community\nCelebrate adaptations\, creativity\, and what works for your body\n\nAll skill levels are welcome. You do not need to arrive with a partner\, a plan\, or a specific goal. Consent\, communication\, and care (for yourself and others) are core values of this space. You can bring a non-fat rope partner with you. \nThe Fat Rope Hang is about visibility\, connection\, and pleasure in taking up space. Come as you are. Stay as long as you like. Let your body be part of the revolution.

SUMMARY:Go Fuck Yourself - Expert Advice for Self-Pleasure
DESCRIPTION:Everyone knows how to wank\, right? You’d be surprised… \nIn a world set on policing our bodies\, it’s hard to center our own pleasure – even when nobody else is around. You will get lots of practical tools for exploring sexuality on your own terms – from understanding anatomy\, to getting nerdy about orgasms\, and finally practical techniques you can try out. Learn how lube makes everything better and why using vibrators is like taking the train. \nThe workshop is suitable for and includes all bodies and configurations of genitals.

SUMMARY:Rope Hangout: Hot
DESCRIPTION:A rope hangout is a welcoming\, peer-to-peer space where we research rope together\, connect\, and explore in a relaxed\, pressure-free atmosphere\, no matter your experience level. All forms of rope bondage (Japanese inspired shibari/kinbaku\, western style bondage\, decorative macrame…) are warmly invited. \nWhether you feel like tying or simply being present\, you’re welcome here. Enjoy non-alcoholic drinks\, snacks\, and easy conversation — sometimes just showing up is enough. There’s no pressure to perform\, teach\, or know anything in advance. Curiosity and your (imaginary) lab coat is all you need to bring. \nThis month’s special focus: Hot\nHow do you tie when it’s too hot? How do you make your tying hot? What can you use for temperature play in combination with rope? Calling out for all unhinged\, stupid\, weird\, spicy\, and sticky ideas. Maybe we ed up making a sweaty pile of tied up bodies out in the garden! \nThe theme is an open invitation rather than a guideline. You’re always encouraged to follow your own interests\, bring questions\, share experiences\, or simply observe and take it all in. The space is shaped by what each person brings into it. \nNote: This is not a rope jam/play space. Rope Hangout is a peer learning environment.

SUMMARY:Rope Fundamentals Weekend: Foundations & Fun
DESCRIPTION:This is the Saturday single ticket event. For buying a full weekend ticket\, go to the weekend event. \nSaturday gives you the tools that make shibari fun — or intense\, or meditative\, or horny\, or whatever flavor of rope you want to create. Ceci will get you started with the most essential techniques: the lark’s head\, the single column tie\, clean wrapping\, managing tension\, and staying safe. Once those basics are in place\, we spend the rest of the day putting them to use in playful\, intuitive ways. \nWe’ll explore freestyle tying and improvisation to loosen the pressure of “doing it right.” Through one-rope exercises\, wrapping\, unwrapping\, and re-wrapping bodies\, you’ll learn to follow curiosity instead of memorizing patterns. Because rope isn’t static — people move — we’ll also practice guiding and responding to movement through levers\, spirals\, and simple transitions like sitting to standing or shifting limbs mid-tie. \nAlong the way\, we dive into the emotional and psychological effects of rope: how body positions\, pacing\, tension\, and proximity can shift headspace and shape intention. With just a few simple ties\, you’ll learn to create sessions that feel impactful\, intimate\, and expressive. \nTake aways: \n\nLarkshead & single column tie\nRope safety\nOne rope tying\, wrapping & unwrapping\nPlaying with different intentions and moods\nMoving bodies & tying in movement

SUMMARY:Repairing Kink Ruptures – What to Do When Things Go Wrong
DESCRIPTION:Things will go wrong in kink. Miscommunication\, emotional overwhelm\, consent slips\, physical mishaps\, or simply mismatched expectations — ruptures are a real risk in when working with intensity\, vulnerability\, and power exchange. \nThis workshop focuses on what happens after the moment shit hits the fan. \nWe’ll explore how to recognize rupture as it’s happening\, how to pause without escalating harm\, and how to repair connection in ways that build trust rather than erode it. Drawing on principles from restorative and transformative justice\, we’ll look beyond blame and punishment toward accountability\, repair\, and the possibility of doing things differently. \nWhat does it mean to take responsibility in a kink context? How do we respond to harm without collapsing into defensiveness or exile? And how can repair processes strengthen our dynamics and communities? \nExpect discussion\, guided reflection\, and practical frameworks you can apply in scenes\, relationships\, and shared spaces. This is not about avoiding mistakes\, it’s about learning how to respond to them with care\, clarity\, and integrity. \nWhat to expect\n\nFrameworks for recognizing different types of rupture (communication breakdowns\, consent issues\, emotional harm)\nTools for pausing\, de-escalating\, and responding in the moment without making things worse\nApproaches to accountability and repair\nExploration of common defensive patterns (avoidance\, blame\, shutdown) and how to move through them\nWays to rebuild trust after things go wrong\n\nWho should join\n\nPeople practicing kink who want to handle mistakes and missteps more skillfully\nTops\, bottoms\, and switches interested in building safer\, more resilient dynamics\nAnyone who has experienced or caused a rupture and wants better tools for repair\nCommunity organizers\, hosts\, teachers\, or facilitators navigating conflict and harm\nThose open to engaging with accountability\, rather than avoiding or outsourcing it

SUMMARY:Rope Hangout: Outdoors
\nThis month’s special focus: Outdoors\n\nWhat should we take into consideration with tying outdoors? What are the best outdoor tying spots in Berlin? And if the weather is nice – have you tied in the Karada House garden yet? \nThe theme is an open invitation rather than a guideline. You’re always encouraged to follow your own interests\, bring questions\, share experiences\, or simply observe and take it all in. The space is shaped by what each person brings into it. \nNote: This is not a rope jam/play space. Rope Hangout is a peer learning environment.

SUMMARY:Why the Sex Isn’t Working (and What to Do About It)\, Part I: Fight
DESCRIPTION:A three-part series for couples and polycules\, exploring the most common places where sex breaks down\, and how to rebuild with intention\, honesty\, and skill. \nGrounded in sex therapy and informed by kink-aware\, queer-inclusive practice\, this series looks at sex not as an isolated act\, but as something shaped by conflict\, connection\, and relationship. \nJuly 16th: Part 1 – Fight\nWhen sex isn’t working\, it’s often not about sex. \nThe first part of the series looks at the conflicts\, tensions\, and relational patterns that block desire and connection. We’ll explore how resentment\, misaligned expectations\, communication breakdowns\, and unspoken needs show up in intimate spaces. \nYou’ll learn how to identify the actual fight you’re having (hint: it’s rarely about the surface issue)\, and how to engage conflict in a way that creates connection instead of distance\, and safety instead of resentment. We’ll work with tools for tenderness\, empathy\, and staying present in difficult conversations\, negotiation\, and boundary setting. \nJuly 30th: Part 2 – Fun\nBefore sex can work\, the relationship needs to feel alive. \nWhen everything becomes logistical\, tense\, or goal-oriented\, intimacy often follows suit. This workshop focuses on the role of play\, fun\, lightness\, and connection outside of sex\, and how their absence can quietly erode desire. \nWe’ll explore how partners lose access to shared joy\, and what it takes to rebuild it. What creates a sense of “us”? How do playfulness\, curiosity\, and mutual enjoyment show up in everyday interactions? And how can you reintroduce them without it feeling forced or performative? \nThis session is about widening the lens: seeing sex as something that grows out of the overall tone of a relationship\, not something that can be fixed in isolation. \nAugust 13th: Part 3 – Fuck\nOnce conflict is addressed and connection is alive\, how do we actually do sex in a way that works? \nThis workshop focuses on the experience of sex itself: arousal\, pacing\, communication during intimacy\, and the role of play within sex. We’ll explore how to move away from scripts and expectations\, and toward something more responsive\, collaborative\, and alive. \nWhat makes sex feel fun\, engaging\, and connected in the moment? How can we understand and embrace each other’s sexual blueprints? And how do we navigate mismatched desire\, shifting arousal\, or things not going according to plan? \nExpect honest conversations about bodies\, variability\, and the realities of sex\, along with tools to build attunement\, flexibility\, and shared enjoyment. This is where the pieces come together: not perfect sex\, but sex that actually works for the people having it. \nWhat to expect\n\nA structured\, three-part approach: conflict (Fight)\, relational connection (Fun)\, and sexual experience (Fuck)\nReal-time conversations and exercises with your partner(s)\nInsight into how non-sexual dynamics (resentment\, disconnection\, routine) shape sexual difficulties\nTools for navigating difficult conversations\, rebuilding connection\, and shifting relational patterns\nExploration of play\, curiosity\, and responsiveness – both in relationships and in sex\nHonest\, practical discussion of how sex actually works and how to take agency\n\nWho it’s for\n\nLGBTQIA+ couples and polycules feeling stuck\, frustrated\, or disconnected in their sex lives\nPeople who want to work on things actively — not just get information and techniques\nThose open to reflecting on their role in relational and sexual dynamics\nKink-aware\, queer\, and non-normative folks looking for inclusive\, applicable frameworks\nAnyone interested in building sex that feels more connected\, flexible\, and alive rather than scripted

SUMMARY:Shibari Structures Toolbox: Building Blocks & Design Choices
DESCRIPTION:Shibari is not just about what you tie\, but how and why you build it. \nThis workshop focuses on the underlying structures that make ties functional\, adaptable\, and expressive. Instead of learning one fixed pattern\, you’ll develop a modular understanding of rope: how suspension harnesses are constructed\, how frictions shape tension and stability\, and how small design choices change both the look and feel of a tie. \nWe’ll work with core building blocks: wraps\, frictions (X\, L\, half-moon)\, and basic harness blueprints\, learning and understanding how to build a gote (TK/box tie)\, a hip harness\, and a mermaid tie. From there\, we’ll explore how different traditions and styles approach similar structures\, and what happens when you start modifying the blueprint. \nAlong the way\, we’ll look at body geometry\, balance\, and how to adapt ties to different bodies and intentions. The goal is not to memorize patterns\, but to understand the logic behind them so you can build\, adjust\, and tie with more confidence. \nThis workshop is ideal for those ready to move beyond fundamentals into more intentional and structured tying. \nWhat to expect\n\nHands-on work with core structural elements: wraps\, frictions\, and harness foundations\nIntroduction to key frictions (X\, L\, half-moon) and how they affect tension and stability\nA modular approach to building and modifying harnesses rather than memorizing patterns\nGote\, hip harness\, and mermaid tie\nExploration of different tying styles and how design choices shape outcomes\nFocus on body geometry\, balance\, and adapting structures to different bodies\n\nWho should join\n\nRiggers who are comfortable with basic frictions\, single/double column ties\, and simple harnesses\nPeople who want to understand why ties work\, not just how to replicate them\nThose looking to improve stability\, adjustability\, and intentional design in their rope\nAnyone curious about different styles of shibari and how to develop their own approach\nRope practitioners preparing for more complex floorwork or future suspensions

SUMMARY:Shibari Structures Toolbox Weekend
DESCRIPTION:A two-day deep dive into the building blocks of shibari: how structures are created\, and how they shape bodies. \nThis weekend brings together two complementary workshops based on our Rope Structures series\, that move from understanding how ties work to exploring what they do. On day one\, Building Blocks & Design Choices focuses on the foundations of structure: harness construction\, frictions\, and the design decisions that make ties stable\, adaptable\, and expressive. You’ll develop a modular way of thinking about rope\, moving beyond fixed patterns into understanding the logic behind them. You will learn a gote (arms behind the back tie)\, a mermaid tie\, and a hip harness. \nOn day two\, Restricting Bodies\, we apply those same building blocks to create intentional restriction. We’ll explore how rope can shape posture\, limit movement\, and create specific physical and emotional experiences\, working with positions\, connections\, and simple setups that bring structure into the body. You will learn Ceci’s arms front harness\, a futomomo\, a crab tie\, and how to connect body parts to harnesses and furniture. \nTogether\, these workshops offer a practical and exploratory approach to shibari: not just learning ties\, but learning how to build and use them with intention. The focus throughout is on adaptability\, body awareness\, and making informed choices\, whether you’re tying for aesthetics\, play\, or deeper exploration. \nYou can join for one day or both\, but attending the full weekend will give you the clearest sense of progression from structure to application. Buy a full weekend ticket here\, or navigate to the descriptions of each day for a one-day ticket.

SUMMARY:Shibari Structures Toolbox: Restricting Bodies
DESCRIPTION:This workshop explores how to use rope to create clear\, intentional restrictions in the body — whether through tying limbs together\, shaping posture\, or connecting a body to itself\, another person\, or an object. We’ll work with positions such as hogties\, folded and asymmetrical shapes\, and tying to furniture\, using accessible tools like single column ties\, basic harnesses\, and frictions. \nTo continue growing your shibari harness toolbox\, you will learn Ceci’s arms front chest harness\, a structured futomomo\, and a crab tie. You can also continue practicing harnesses from the previous day’s workshop. This workshop gives you a first taste of techniques you will need for moving into shibari suspensions. \nWe’ll also cover practical considerations like transitions\, adaptability for different bodies and flexibility levels\, and maintaining awareness of safety while working with restriction. \nThis is a hands-on\, exploratory space to better understand how rope shapes bodies\, and how to make intentional choices about the kind of experience you’re creating. \nWhat to expect\n\nPractice with tying body parts together and creating restrictive positions\nExploration of classic positions (e.g.\, hogtie\, M-shape\, kata-ashi) and their variations\nWorking with harnesses\, single column ties\, and basic frictions to build restriction\nAttention to how restriction changes sensation\, movement\, and experience\nGuidance on adapting positions for different bodies\, flexibility\, and contexts\n\nWho should join\n\nRiggers and rope bottoms with solid fundamentals who want to explore restriction more intentionally\nPeople interested in how to use harnesses in play\nThose looking to expand their repertoire of positions for floorwork\nAnyone wanting to better understand how to create intensity safely and sustainably\nPractitioners curious about combining structure\, posture\, and environment (e.g.\, furniture)
