SUMMARY:Pyromancer Fantasies – Experiments with Fire Play
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the elemental lab\, adventurer. In this session\, you’ll level up from curious novice to confident Pyromancer through a series of guided experiments designed to awaken your inner fire mage. Think less lecture\, more spellcasting trial. Or practically speaking: this is a space for exploring fire and wax play with guidance from Ceci Ferox. We will use torches and candles. \nIn this research lab\, you’ll:\n\nLearn how to prepare for playing with heat and fire\nGet info on indoor-safe and accessible fuel and other materials\nTry the soft intensity of fire on yourself and others\nPlay with the sharp sensation of wax\n\nSafety wards up and no chaos magic – you will be guided towards the calm atmosphere required for the dangers of the element. No flying fire balls or flaming curtains. We will take it slow and create space for each of us to experience and experiment with supervision and time to reflect. \nNo previous experience required — just a taste for adventure and maybe a little smoke. Please come well hydrated!

SUMMARY:Domination in Shibari
DESCRIPTION:Tying someone up is fun. Tying someone up with intention is more fun. Tying someone up with intention\, while in a power dynamic adds multiple layers of fun\, hotness\, and depth into the session. This is a workshop on combining power and control\, injecting a D/s dynamic into shibari. \nYou already know your way around rope and want to explore what it means to use bondage as a tool for power exchange – not just as a tool for restriction. We’ll look at how restraint shapes a scene\, how to use position\, exposure\, and control to build tension\, and how to actually inhabit the dominant role instead of just performing it. We’ll also explore how it feels to be on the receiving end and the many flavors of submission in rope. \nWe’ll be queer\, kinky\, and completely uninterested in the norms of domination. \nWhat to expect\n\nShibari as a tool for power exchange: position\, restriction\, exposure\nDominant presence\, gestures\, postures\, and rope handling\nSubmission in ropes – beyond closing your eyes and giving in\nCombining technical rope decisions with intentional scene-building\n\nWho should join\n\nYou have already been tying and want to take your rope session to a new level\nYou’re already exploring both shibari and D/s but are unsure of how to combine them\nYou’re a bottom or submissive who wants to find tools to collaborate in making magic\nYou’re switchy and greedy for all the perspectives

SUMMARY:Queer Kink Camp
DESCRIPTION:This three-day\, boot camp style immersive weekend supports you at the beginning of your kink journey. \nPart playshop\, part skills education\, and part experiencing\, the Queer Kink Camp blends learning with doing. You will be supported by Caritia and Ceci through guided workshops\, hands-on practice\, and facilitated play spaces. All activities are grounded in consent\, community\, and care. \nPractically\, we will have two and a half structured days with space for both learning and doing\, and shared lunch. If you want the full camp experience\, you can sleep at the house for a small extra fee (write us at info@karada-house.de). \nThis camp is for you if you are:\n\nKink-curious\, new to BDSM\, or looking to build strong foundations\nInterested in learning through a mix of education\, practice\, and experience\nSeeking a queer-centered space that prioritizes consent\, communication\, and care\n\nNo prior kink experience is required. You do not need to have a partner\, a specific role\, or a clear list of interests to attend. All activities are optional\, and there are multiple ways to participate. \nFriday: orientation & first steps\nThe first evening of Queer Kink Camp is about arriving: into the space\, into your body\, and into the group. \nWe’ll begin with camp orientation\, outlining shared agreements around consent\, communication\, boundaries\, and community care\, as well as what to expect over the three days. You’ll meet the facilitators and learn how support\, opting in\, and opting out will work throughout the camp. \nNext\, we’ll move into social warm-ups designed to gently build connection and ease nerves. These low-pressure\, guided exercises support meeting one another\, practicing negotiation and boundary-setting\, and getting comfortable in a queer kink learning space. \nThe evening concludes with first steps into kink. We will have introductory discussions and light experiential practices that invite curiosity and get you warmed up for what’s to come. This is about opening the door\, not diving in: exploring what kink can be when approached with consent\, care\, and choice. \n\n7-10pm Camp orientation and getting to know each other\n\nSaturday: restriction & pain\nOn Saturday\, we dive deeper into embodied kink exploration\, focusing on restriction\, s/m\, pain\, and impact play. This day is about researching sensations\, playing with bodies\, and learning practical skills with intention\, safety\, and care. \nThrough a mix of skills-based workshops\, demonstrations\, and guided practice\, we’ll explore topics such as shibari bondage\, restriction\, impact play\, pressure points\, and intensity. \nThere will be opportunities to practice\, observe\, and experience at your own pace\, whether that means trying something hands-on\, receiving\, topping\, bottoming\, switching\, or simply witnessing and reflecting. All activities are optional\, with clear choices and support throughout the day. \nWe invite you to experiment\, feel\, and refine your understanding of how restriction and pain can be playful\, hot\, intense\, grounding\, or transformative\, within a queer-centered container that values communication\, respect\, and agency. \nSaturday will end with an open play space for exploring restriction and sensations\, or to just hang out and be social. \n\n10-12.30 Intro to restriction & rope bondage\n12.30-14 Lunch\n14-17 S/m\, pain & impact play\n17-18 Break\n18-21 Play & social space\n\nSunday: power exchange & fetish\nOn Sunday\, we turn toward the deeper dynamics of desire\, focusing on power exchange and fetish. \nThrough facilitated discussions and experiential exercises\, we’ll explore different forms of power exchange\, from momentary scenes to ongoing dynamics\, and how authority\, surrender\, ritual\, and trust can be consciously negotiated and embodied. \nThe day also opens space for fetish exploration\, honouring the wide range of objects\, roles\, sensations\, and narratives that spark desire. Participants are invited towards curiosity without judgment\, deepen understanding of their own turn-ons\, and experiment in ways that feel exciting and consensual. \nAs the camp comes to a close\, Sunday offers time for integration\, connection\, and reflection\, supporting you in carrying your experiences\, insights\, and desires forward beyond the weekend\, grounded in choice\, care\, and queer community. \nThe camp concludes with a fancy dress-up party\, where all kinks\, fetishes\, and dynamics are welcome. \n\n10-12.30 Power play\, dominance & submission\n12.30-14 Lunch\n14-17 Fetishes\nIntegration time\n17-18 Break\n18-21 Fancy dress-up kink party

SUMMARY:The Fat Rope Hang
DESCRIPTION:This is a space dedicated to everyone self-identifying as fat who’s into shibari or other types of rope bondage. We will luxuriate\, rant\, do rope\, and just generally engage in revolutionary action. \nTogether\, we’ll center fat joy\, fat bodies\, and fat experience in rope — without apology and without shrinking ourselves. This gathering prioritizes comfort\, accessibility\, and unmasking\, with an emphasis on sharing knowledge\, building confidence\, and unlearning the ways mainstream rope spaces often exclude or overlook us. \nWhat will happen?\nThe Fat Rope Hang is not a class or performance space. It’s a facilitated hang where you’re welcome to: \n\nTie or be tied at your own pace\nShare frustrations\, wins\, and questions about navigating rope as a fat person\nExperiment\, rest\, watch\, talk\, or simply exist in community\nCelebrate adaptations\, creativity\, and what works for your body\n\nAll skill levels are welcome. You do not need to arrive with a partner\, a plan\, or a specific goal. Consent\, communication\, and care (for yourself and others) are core values of this space. You can bring a non-fat rope partner with you. \nThe Fat Rope Hang is about visibility\, connection\, and pleasure in taking up space. Come as you are. Stay as long as you like. Let your body be part of the revolution.

SUMMARY:Rope Hangout: Queerope Aftercare
DESCRIPTION:A rope hangout is a welcoming\, peer-to-peer space where we research rope together\, connect\, and explore in a relaxed\, pressure-free atmosphere\, no matter your experience level. All forms of rope bondage (Japanese inspired shibari/kinbaku\, western style bondage\, decorative macrame…) are warmly invited. \nWhether you feel like tying or simply being present\, you’re welcome here. Enjoy non-alcoholic drinks\, snacks\, and easy conversation — sometimes just showing up is enough. There’s no pressure to perform\, teach\, or know anything in advance. Curiosity and your (imaginary) lab coat is all you need to bring. \nThis month’s special focus: Queerope Aftercare\nWere you at Queerope and need a bit more rope to land softly? Or maybe you couldn’t make it but are curious about what people took with them? This Rope Hangout is especially aimed for sharing and integrating Queerope experiences. \nThe theme is an open invitation rather than a guideline. You’re always encouraged to follow your own interests\, bring questions\, share experiences\, or simply observe and take it all in. The space is shaped by what each person brings into it. \nNote: This is not a rope jam/play space. Rope Hangout is a peer learning environment.

SUMMARY:Why the Sex Isn’t Working (and What to Do About It)\, Part III: Fuck
DESCRIPTION:A three-part series for couples and polycules\, exploring the most common places where sex breaks down\, and how to rebuild with intention\, honesty\, and skill. \nGrounded in sex therapy and informed by kink-aware\, queer-inclusive practice\, this series looks at sex not as an isolated act\, but as something shaped by conflict\, connection\, and relationship. \nJuly 16th: Part 1 – Fight\nWhen sex isn’t working\, it’s often not about sex. \nThe first part of the series looks at the conflicts\, tensions\, and relational patterns that block desire and connection. We’ll explore how resentment\, misaligned expectations\, communication breakdowns\, and unspoken needs show up in intimate spaces. \nYou’ll learn how to identify the actual fight you’re having (hint: it’s rarely about the surface issue)\, and how to engage conflict in a way that creates connection instead of distance\, and safety instead of resentment. We’ll work with tools for tenderness\, empathy\, and staying present in difficult conversations\, negotiation\, and boundary setting. \nJuly 30th: Part 2 – Fun\nBefore sex can work\, the relationship needs to feel alive. \nWhen everything becomes logistical\, tense\, or goal-oriented\, intimacy often follows suit. This workshop focuses on the role of play\, fun\, lightness\, and connection outside of sex\, and how their absence can quietly erode desire. \nWe’ll explore how partners lose access to shared joy\, and what it takes to rebuild it. What creates a sense of “us”? How do playfulness\, curiosity\, and mutual enjoyment show up in everyday interactions? And how can you reintroduce them without it feeling forced or performative? \nThis session is about widening the lens: seeing sex as something that grows out of the overall tone of a relationship\, not something that can be fixed in isolation. \nAugust 13th: Part 3 – Fuck\nOnce conflict is addressed and connection is alive\, how do we actually do sex in a way that works? \nThis workshop focuses on the experience of sex itself: arousal\, pacing\, communication during intimacy\, and the role of play within sex. SUMMARY:Why the Sex Isn’t Working (and What to Do About It)\, Part II: Fun
SUMMARY:Rope Lab: Movement & Expression - Floor Transitions
DESCRIPTION:This is our experimental shibari playground for all skill levels. Each month explores a new topic — from shame and semenawa to performance\, advanced movement\, or the mythical “3rd rope” in TKs. We rotate between two themes\, always bringing new inspiration to your rope practice. Open to all levels with foundational knowledge. Bring your curiosity\, your questions\, and your rope. \nThis month we are focusing on: floor transitions – how to tie in movement on the floor\, find flow\, and create an emotional story arch by transitioning through different body positions. This class is suitable for all knowledge levels as long as you go the basics down. \nMovement & Expression\nThese classes are dedicated to the research of the body\, movement and the artistic side of shibari. The topic varies\, and can be anything from dancing with rope or tying people using plastic bags to adding decorative and supportive elements to your harnesses. Inspiration is guaranteed at the Rope Lab!

SUMMARY:Shibari Structures Toolbox: Restricting Bodies
DESCRIPTION:This workshop explores how to use rope to create clear\, intentional restrictions in the body — whether through tying limbs together\, shaping posture\, or connecting a body to itself\, another person\, or an object. We’ll work with positions such as hogties\, folded and asymmetrical shapes\, and tying to furniture\, using accessible tools like single column ties\, basic harnesses\, and frictions. \nTo continue growing your shibari harness toolbox\, you will learn Ceci’s arms front chest harness\, a structured futomomo\, and a crab tie. You can also continue practicing harnesses from the previous day’s workshop. This workshop gives you a first taste of techniques you will need for moving into shibari suspensions. \nWe’ll also cover practical considerations like transitions\, adaptability for different bodies and flexibility levels\, and maintaining awareness of safety while working with restriction. \nThis is a hands-on\, exploratory space to better understand how rope shapes bodies\, and how to make intentional choices about the kind of experience you’re creating. \nWhat to expect\n\nPractice with tying body parts together and creating restrictive positions\nExploration of classic positions (e.g.\, hogtie\, M-shape\, kata-ashi) and their variations\nWorking with harnesses\, single column ties\, and basic frictions to build restriction\nAttention to how restriction changes sensation\, movement\, and experience\nGuidance on adapting positions for different bodies\, flexibility\, and contexts\n\nWho should join\n\nRiggers and rope bottoms with solid fundamentals who want to explore restriction more intentionally\nPeople interested in how to use harnesses in play\nThose looking to expand their repertoire of positions for floorwork\nAnyone wanting to better understand how to create intensity safely and sustainably\nPractitioners curious about combining structure\, posture\, and environment (e.g.\, furniture)

SUMMARY:Shibari Structures Toolbox Weekend
DESCRIPTION:A two-day deep dive into the building blocks of shibari: how structures are created\, and how they shape bodies. \nThis weekend brings together two complementary workshops based on our Rope Structures series\, that move from understanding how ties work to exploring what they do. On day one\, Building Blocks & Design Choices focuses on the foundations of structure: harness construction\, frictions\, and the design decisions that make ties stable\, adaptable\, and expressive. You’ll develop a modular way of thinking about rope\, moving beyond fixed patterns into understanding the logic behind them. You will learn a gote (arms behind the back tie)\, a mermaid tie\, and a hip harness. \nOn day two\, Restricting Bodies\, we apply those same building blocks to create intentional restriction. We’ll explore how rope can shape posture\, limit movement\, and create specific physical and emotional experiences\, working with positions\, connections\, and simple setups that bring structure into the body. You will learn Ceci’s arms front harness\, a futomomo\, a crab tie\, and how to connect body parts to harnesses and furniture. \nTogether\, these workshops offer a practical and exploratory approach to shibari: not just learning ties\, but learning how to build and use them with intention. The focus throughout is on adaptability\, body awareness\, and making informed choices\, whether you’re tying for aesthetics\, play\, or deeper exploration. \nYou can join for one day or both\, but attending the full weekend will give you the clearest sense of progression from structure to application. Buy a full weekend ticket here\, or navigate to the descriptions of each day for a one-day ticket.

SUMMARY:Shibari Structures Toolbox: Building Blocks & Design Choices
DESCRIPTION:Shibari is not just about what you tie\, but how and why you build it. \nThis workshop focuses on the underlying structures that make ties functional\, adaptable\, and expressive. Instead of learning one fixed pattern\, you’ll develop a modular understanding of rope: how suspension harnesses are constructed\, how frictions shape tension and stability\, and how small design choices change both the look and feel of a tie. \nWe’ll work with core building blocks: wraps\, frictions (X\, L\, half-moon)\, and basic harness blueprints\, learning and understanding how to build a gote (TK/box tie)\, a hip harness\, and a mermaid tie. From there\, we’ll explore how different traditions and styles approach similar structures\, and what happens when you start modifying the blueprint. \nAlong the way\, we’ll look at body geometry\, balance\, and how to adapt ties to different bodies and intentions. The goal is not to memorize patterns\, but to understand the logic behind them so you can build\, adjust\, and tie with more confidence. \nThis workshop is ideal for those ready to move beyond fundamentals into more intentional and structured tying. \nWhat to expect\n\nHands-on work with core structural elements: wraps\, frictions\, and harness foundations\nIntroduction to key frictions (X\, L\, half-moon) and how they affect tension and stability\nA modular approach to building and modifying harnesses rather than memorizing patterns\nGote\, hip harness\, and mermaid tie\nExploration of different tying styles and how design choices shape outcomes\nFocus on body geometry\, balance\, and adapting structures to different bodies\n\nWho should join\n\nRiggers who are comfortable with basic frictions\, single/double column ties\, and simple harnesses\nPeople who want to understand why ties work\, not just how to replicate them\nThose looking to improve stability\, adjustability\, and intentional design in their rope\nAnyone curious about different styles of shibari and how to develop their own approach\nRope practitioners preparing for more complex floorwork or future suspensions

SUMMARY:Rope Hangout: Outdoors
\nThis month’s special focus: Outdoors\n\nWhat should we take into consideration with tying outdoors? What are the best outdoor tying spots in Berlin? And if the weather is nice – have you tied in the Karada House garden yet? \nThe theme is an open invitation rather than a guideline. You’re always encouraged to follow your own interests\, bring questions\, share experiences\, or simply observe and take it all in. The space is shaped by what each person brings into it. \nNote: This is not a rope jam/play space. Rope Hangout is a peer learning environment.

Miscommunication\, emotional overwhelm\, consent slips\, physical mishaps\, or simply mismatched expectations — ruptures are a real risk in when working with intensity\, vulnerability\, and power exchange. \nThis workshop focuses on what happens after the moment shit hits the fan. \nWe’ll explore how to recognize rupture as it’s happening\, how to pause without escalating harm\, and how to repair connection in ways that build trust rather than erode it. Drawing on principles from restorative and transformative justice\, we’ll look beyond blame and punishment toward accountability\, repair\, and the possibility of doing things differently. \nWhat does it mean to take responsibility in a kink context? How do we respond to harm without collapsing into defensiveness or exile? And how can repair processes strengthen our dynamics and communities? \nExpect discussion\, guided reflection\, and practical frameworks you can apply in scenes\, relationships\, and shared spaces. This is not about avoiding mistakes\, it’s about learning how to respond to them with care\, clarity\, and integrity. \nWhat to expect\n\nFrameworks for recognizing different types of rupture (communication breakdowns\, consent issues\, emotional harm)\nTools for pausing\, de-escalating\, and responding in the moment without making things worse\nApproaches to accountability and repair\nExploration of common defensive patterns (avoidance\, blame\, shutdown) and how to move through them\nWays to rebuild trust after things go wrong\n\nWho should join\n\nPeople practicing kink who want to handle mistakes and missteps more skillfully\nTops\, bottoms\, and switches interested in building safer\, more resilient dynamics\nAnyone who has experienced or caused a rupture and wants better tools for repair\nCommunity organizers\, hosts\, teachers\, or facilitators navigating conflict and harm\nThose open to engaging with accountability\, rather than avoiding or outsourcing it

SUMMARY:Rope Fundamentals Weekend: Nerdery & Harnesses
DESCRIPTION:This is the Sunday single ticket event. For buying a full weekend ticket\, go to the weekend event. \nSunday is for the rope nerds (or for anyone ready to become one). Today we dive into the mechanics behind stable\, comfortable\, body-friendly tying. We’ll explore how to apply rope with intention\, how to create structures that fit real bodies\, and how to make your tying smoother\, safer\, and more efficient. \nYou’ll learn counter tensions\, ladder structures\, your first frictions\, and how to wrap with flow and consistency. These building blocks are what allow harnesses to hold their shape. We’ll also cover ergonomics and hand techniques\, like hooking and pulling rope\, so you can tie for longer without soreness or strain. \nWith these tools in place\, we’ll begin tying simple harnesses and\, more importantly\, understanding why they work. You’ll get a clear picture of the core components (anchors\, stems\, wraps\, frictions\, and cinches) and start recognizing the logic behind shibari structures. This modular thinking becomes the foundation for everything that comes after. \nTake aways: \n\nDouble column tie\nRope handling & ergonomics\nTension\, counter tension & ladders\nIntro to harnesses: anchors\, stems\, wraps\, frictions\, cinches\nFrictions: Half hitch\, full stop\, munter hitch\, in-line single column tie\nOne rope harnesses: chest harness\, futomomo\, box tie

SUMMARY:Rope Fundamentals: Shibari Starter Kit Weekend
DESCRIPTION:Kick off your rope journey with a weekend that bundles our entire Rope Fundamentals series into one playful\, beginner-friendly shibari workshop. \nAcross two days\, you’ll move from the simplest building blocks to a clear understanding of how harnesses work. Whether you’re brand new\, brushing off old skills\, or craving a solid base before exploring deeper techniques\, this weekend is designed to set you up with confidence\, creativity\, and connection. \nYou can bring someone to tie with or come solo and find a partner at the workshop. \nJoin us for the full journey\, or pick the day that suits you best: \nGet Your Saturday (Foundations & Fun)\, only ticket here.\nGet your Sunday (Nerdery & Harnesses)\, only ticket here. \nFoundations & Fun\nSaturday gives you the tools that make shibari fun — or intense\, or meditative\, or horny\, or whatever flavor of rope you want to create. Ceci will get you started with the most essential techniques: the lark’s head\, the single column tie\, clean wrapping\, managing tension\, and staying safe. Once those basics are in place\, we spend the rest of the day putting them to use in playful\, intuitive ways. \nWe’ll explore freestyle tying and improvisation to loosen the pressure of “doing it right.” Through one-rope exercises\, wrapping\, unwrapping\, and re-wrapping bodies\, you’ll learn to follow curiosity instead of memorizing patterns. Because rope isn’t static — people move — we’ll also practice guiding and responding to movement through levers\, spirals\, and simple transitions like sitting to standing or shifting limbs mid-tie. \nAlong the way\, we dive into the emotional and psychological effects of rope: how body positions\, pacing\, tension\, and proximity can shift headspace and shape intention. With just a few simple ties\, you’ll learn to create sessions that feel impactful\, intimate\, and expressive. \nTake aways:\n\nLarkshead & single column tie\nRope safety\nOne rope tying\, wrapping & unwrapping\nPlaying with different intentions and moods\nMoving bodies & tying in movement\n\nNerdery & Harnesses\nSunday is for the rope nerds (or for anyone ready to become one). SUMMARY:Rope Lab: Play & Connection - pain
\nThis month we are focusing on: pain – weather you call it s/m or semenawa\, this class is all about exploring how to use rope to create pain. We will explore both external pain and uncomfortable body positions. This class is suitable for all skill levels. \nPlay & Connection\nThese classes are dedicated to the research of the interpersonal\, connective\, and fun side of shibari. Forget about rope technique for a while and learn hands-on skills for actually playing with what you know. The topic varies from month to month\, and can be anything from pain and predicament ties to fun games like rope fight club. Come learn the skills that take your sessions from good to fantastic! \n
