SUMMARY:BIPOC Utopias – Play and the Black Experience
DESCRIPTION:This is a separatist space to discuss and lab about kink\, intimacy\, and virtual play space for black\, brown and Indigenous folks. \nFor quite some time\, Caritia has been musing on encouraging and inspiring more BIPOC into the realm of alternative lifestyles and ways of relating. There are many systemic barriers to this\, including patriarchy\, capitalism\, classism and racism. In an effort to change the narrative\, Caritia wishes to offer a monthly gathering of BIPOC to talk\, learn about a topic or practice and support one another through a community that is actively built together\, with the aspiration to gather in person once a year. \nCaritia’s intention is to create a guided\, active space for learning and coming together. This format has the potential to morph and change as the group sees fit. \nWhat we will do\nDiscussing and debate on Aaron Trammell’s book “Torture\, Play and the Black Experience”. It is supportive if you have read the text; however it is not essential for participation. \nWho should join?\nThis space is specifically for Afro-diaspora\, South American\, South East Asia\, black\, brown\, Indigenous\, and marginalized individuals who are interested in kink and BDSM through the lens of intersectional nuances and transformative justice. This space may not fit for all marginalised demographics\, as it is impossible to cover such diversity in one space.

DESCRIPTION:Impact play is a wide spectrum of play types and flogging is one. It’s a practice the goes way back as a ritual\, a sexual practice and punishment. An example of it can be seen in the Italian Etruscan tomb – Tomb of Whipping. There are many examples across continents and cultures. \nParticipants are invited to intentionally explore flogging as a forms of experimentation and play\, to connect to forms of non-verbal communication within a held space framework. With curiosity towards finding and creating a shared energy that is empowering\, playful and leans into discomfort. Giving space to new ground for forms of body knowledge and understanding\, of your style play and flavours of sensation. \nIn this light-hearted\, beginner friendly and guided space\, Caritia (no pronouns) will support participants in finding tools\, positions and nuanced ways of giving sensation to your play connection. \nWhat we will be exploring\n\nmovement\, rhythm and tempo\nintersectionality & boundary setting\nnegotiation – what is it/what can it look like\nfloggers and their materials\nflavours of impact\ntechniques and play dynamics\n\nWhat you need to know\n\nprevious experience helpful for both roles\, however not essential\nbring your own floggers\, if you have one/them\nthere will be nudity. We will then look at fun and inventive ideas of how to make people’s desires come true while also taking care of needs\, boundaries and risk as well as the potential of transformative moments and sessions. \n\n\n\nThis playhshop is replacing scarcity with abundance\, anxiety with curiosity\, the idea of having to figure out your desires on you own with making it a group process of being held\, cherished and nurtured. DESCRIPTION:As queer people\, we often move through life without having access\, time or the headspace for communal rituals that mark change\, growth\, or seasonal transition. Queer Fall Rituals is an intimate\, queers only\, space to reclaim that. Over three days\, we’ll honor the Autumn Equinox by moving through the sacred themes of abundance\, death\, and hibernation—mirroring the earth’s turning inward. \nEach day has a specific theme: \n\nFriday: Abundance through Group Play (orgy)\nSaturday: Death through Kink Rituals (BDSM)\nSunday: Hibernation through creature creation and sound (cuddles)\n\nEach day offers:\n✨ Workshopping the day’s themes together – learning skills and making plans\n🍲 A shared communal lunch\n🎭 A playful\, nourishing play party \nThis gathering is a space for queer\, kinky bodies and queer\, kinky hearts to connect\, release\, and prepare for the descent into winter—together \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  Oct 3rd-5th\, 2025\, 12 pm – 9 pm \nFormat: retreat \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+  \nLanguage: English \nSolo or Partnered: all constellations welcome \nPrice: price is per person \nFriday\, October 3rd: Abundance – a harvest bacchanal \nFriday: \nThe first day of the weekend is all about enjoying the abundance of the harvest season. In groups\, we will enjoy ourselves\, each other\, and all our senses. During the day Caritia and Ceci will guide you towards comfort and intimacy. On this last day of the weekend\, we’ll get ready for rest through softness and cuddles. The bears are ready to hibernate\, birds are setting off to warmer climates\, and the cats are having their last playful frolics.\nThe day will guide you towards stillness through meditation\, and playfulness through letting out your inner creature. We will let go of being serious adults and explore softer ways to be in our bodies. The play party will be all about oxytocin\, touch\, and chill. German can also be provided. The space\, KARA\, is on the ground floor but has three steps to enter the house. A ramp for wheelchairs is available at all times. There is also a parking space available right in front of the door if needed. KARA has an accessible bathroom available. There are no thresholds in the entire house. The garden is only partially accessible at the moment. During the workshop\, we will sit on the floor. Sitting in a chair can also be provided. Adaptations for physical needs will be shown and can also be provided upon request. DESCRIPTION:The power of breath is unmeasurable and powerful. \nIn this one day in-person workshop participants are invited to explore breath play from an intentional and boundaried perspective\, the inter-play of control and trust. \nCaritia will offer/demonstrate 4-5 different breath play techniques\, leaving time for participants to play solo or with others. The day will be grounded in the foundational structures of safety\, health and basic structure that can be adapted to each player’s needs and risk profile. \nWhat to Bring:  questions\, an open mind to listen\, comfortable clothing\, a scarf or two\, a container large enough to place your face/head in (for water) \nWhat we will teach/offer you\n\nmeditation\nboundaries and negotiation\ncare\, safety and health\nfinding your play style and intention\nmore than using hands and time\nfeedback and close\n\n\nNOTE: Participants are asked to arrive 20 minutes before the workshop to take a COVID test. SUMMARY:BIPOC Utopias – Decolonising / Deconstructing
DESCRIPTION:This is a separatist space to discuss and lab about kink\, intimacy\, and virtual play space for black\, brown and Indigenous folks. \nFor quite some time\, Caritia has been musing on encouraging and inspiring more BIPOC into the realm of alternative lifestyles and ways of relating. There are many systemic barriers to this\, including patriarchy\, capitalism\, classism and racism. In an effort to change the narrative\, Caritia wishes to offer a monthly gathering of BIPOC to talk\, learn about a topic or practice and support one another through a community that is actively built together\, with the aspiration to gather in person once a year. \nCaritia’s intention is to create a guided\, active space for learning and coming together. This format has the potential to morph and change as the group sees fit. \nWhat we will do\nDecolonizing / Deconstructing Kink \nWho should join\nThis space is specifically for Afro-diaspora\, South American\, black\, brown\, Indigenous\, and marginalized individuals who are interested in kink and BDSM through the lens of intersectional nuances and transformative justice. This space may not fit for all marginalised demographics\, as it is impossible to cover such diversity in one space.
