DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the world of rope bondage\, friend! It’s wild and fun out here and we are thrilled to be your point of entry. \nThis weekly class is designed for anyone who would like to learn about Japanese-inspired rope bondage/shibari/kinbaku whether you see yourself in the role of the person tying or being tied. We firmly believe that everyone\, even if you wish to be tied\, should know the absolute basics of this craft. You can come alone or with a partner. Everyone will learn and tie. You can either tie yourself or another person\, switching will also be a part of this class. \nYou do not need to bring any ropes as we will provide workshop ropes for you. \nYou can also spontaneously come by on the day and purchase a ticket online right up to the beginning of the class if there is space left. \n  \nNote: \nThe class starts at 7 pm sharp. Please arrive 15 minutes earlier so we can process your ticket and welcome you. Once the class has started we do not allow entry. You cannot transfer your ticket to another week. How can you find your personal path to having your wants\, desires\, and needs fore filled respecting your own boundaries and those of your play connection? \nDuring this weekend intensive\, each participant will be encouraged to take a personal journey to explore intention\, responsibility\, and desire\, with the aim to find practical tools to play and embody your dominant self. \nUsing the depths of your commonly known archetypes and stereotypes you will be encouraged to delve into your inner characteristics to discover which of these energies can assist in enriching play dynamics\, as well as\, how these aspects can be accessed in everyday situations. SUMMARY:Open Rope Training for Beginners: Controlling & Restricting Movement
DESCRIPTION:This bi-weekly open training is designed for anyone who would like to learn about Japanese-inspired rope bondage/shibari/kinbaku whether you see yourself in the role of the person tying or being tied. \nOur open rope training for beginners is a continuous offer for anyone looking for a regular practice space to advance their skills. Each time we will offer a teaching on one particular topic. Depending on your skill level and how quickly you can pick up on things\, you can then either use the remaining open-space time to practice this one new skill in your own time or you can up the ante with the help of your teacher. You can also choose to train your own skills on another topic if you like and have a teacher give you feedback and help you improve. \n  \nTopic of the week: Controlling & Restricting Movement \nRestriction is a big part of why we love rope bondage\, and there’s only so much you can do with tying harnesses on separate body parts. This open training teaches you how to attach limbs to harnesses and furniture. It’s also a great first step for starting to figure out suspension lines.  \nTeacher of the week: Caritia \n“Caritia’s style is an eclectic one\, blended as it is from 20+ years in kink and learning to tie (and getting tied) from a diverse range of Japanese and Northern European instructors. Twelve years on this path\, which has ebbed and flowed\, ‘I’m forever a curious student’. Focused on accessibility\, from pedagogy to diverse movement (stillness)\, specializing in the body\, floorwork\, partial suspensions\, and adaptive ties\, Caritia infuses (her) teachings with laughter as a key element of play.\nCaritia identifies as queer\, gender non-conforming\, black and the trickster vibes. Pronouns ‘Nah’” \n  \nYou can come alone or with a partner. You can tie yourself or your partner. Alternatively\, you can partner up with another participant. \nYou can but do not need to bring any ropes as we will provide workshop ropes for you. \nYou can also spontaneously come by on the day and purchase a ticket online right up to the beginning of the class if there is space left. \n  \nNote: \nThe class starts at 7 pm sharp. Please arrive 15 minutes earlier so we can process your ticket and welcome you. Once the class has started we do not allow entry. You cannot transfer your ticket to another week. DESCRIPTION:A shift in focus is needed this year\, and Caritia invites you to this play experiment. Adventurers who wish to explore their multitude of facets within a collective playground. Newbies and veterans are encouraged to join this sober\, safe(r) play space to discover more about their different forms of play and collaboration. DESCRIPTION:This bi-weekly open training is designed for anyone who would like to learn about Japanese-inspired rope bondage/shibari/kinbaku whether you see yourself in the role of the person tying or being tied. \nOur open rope training for beginners is a continuous offer for anyone looking for a regular practice space to advance their skills. Each time we will offer a teaching on one particular topic. Depending on your skill level and how quickly you can pick up on things\, you can then either use the remaining open-space time to practice this one new skill in your own time or you can up the ante with the help of your teacher. You can also choose to train your own skills on another topic if you like and have a teacher give you feedback and help you improve. \n  \nTopic of the week: Moving with each other on the floor \nDifferent ways of moving create very different rope sessions\, and everyone playing has agency on how they move their own body. DESCRIPTION:  \nWho might you like to bite\, scratch\, and poke? Caritia indulges in the simplest yet nuanced forms of play within the sensation spectrum. Finding the scrumptiousness of the body at it’s animalistic essence in primal play. \nThe focus of the workshop will be to find what can and is possible within this no-tool-based form of play. Insights and answering questions around the physical\, emotional\, and practical hands-on principles of primal play. The space\, KARA\, is on the ground floor but has three steps to enter the house. A ramp for wheelchairs is available at all times. There is also a parking space available right in front of the door if needed. KARA has an accessible bathroom available. There are no thresholds in the entire house. The garden is only partially accessible at the moment. During the workshop\, we will sit on the floor. Sitting in a chair can also be provided. Adaptations for physical needs will be shown and can also be provided upon request.
