SUMMARY:BIPOC Utopias – Kink & Intimacy
DESCRIPTION:This is a separatist space to discuss and lab about kink\, intimacy\, and virtual play space for black\, brown and Indigenous folks. \nFor quite some time\, Caritia has been musing on encouraging and inspiring more BIPOC into the realm of alternative lifestyles and ways of relating. There are many systemic barriers to this\, including patriarchy\, capitalism\, classism and racism. In an effort to change the narrative\, Caritia wishes to offer a monthly gathering of BIPOC to talk\, learn about a topic or practice and support one another through a community that is actively built together\, with the aspiration to gather in person once a year. \nCaritia’s intention is to create a guided\, active space for learning and coming together. This format has the potential to morph and change as the group sees fit. \nThis space is specifically for Afro-diaspora\, South American\, black\, brown\, Indigenous\, and marginalized individuals who are interested in kink and BDSM through the lens of intersectional nuances and transformative justice. This space may not fit for all marginalised demographics\, as it is impossible to cover such diversity in one space. \n  \nWhat we will do: \nMay – Rope Rope Rope \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  May 4th\, 2025\, 7-8.30pm CET \nFormat: lab (virtual) \nAudience:  BIPOC  \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: All levels welcome \nWhat to Bring: \nSolo or Partnered:  all constellations welcome (each participant needs a ticket) \nClass recording: No \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop and discussion are held in spoken English with automated captions in English which are provided by Zoom. SUMMARY:Consensual Non-Consent 101
DESCRIPTION:Consensual non-consent is a form of play that is based on a mutual agreement between play partners to act as if consent has been waived. This form of play is a complex web of thoughts\, ideas\, and desires that requires a delicate balance of boundaries and communicated needs to navigate what can be deliciously troubled waters. \nJoin Caritia for this open discussion on the topic\, covering the basics and answering your questions in this co-created space. \nFor starters\, we will dive into questions such as: What is CNC? Why would anyone wish to engage in this form of play? And how many different ways can it turn out? Where are the boundaries between consent and the desire to play with taboos? Feel free to bring your own ideas and questions to the (virtual) table \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  March 11th\, 2025\, 7 pm – 10 pm \nFormat: Discussion \nMinimum Knowledge Level: – \nWhat to Bring: ideas\, questions\, partners\, ways to keep notes \nSolo or Partnered: any constellation works.
\n  \nWhat we will do: \nMarch – Negotiations and Power dynamics \nApril – What’s new? Questions & Curiosity ask anything time. \nMay – Rope Rope Rope \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  March 9th\, 2025\, 7-8.30pm CET \nFormat: lab (virtual) \nAudience:  BIPOC  \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: All levels welcome \nWhat to Bring: \nSolo or Partnered:  all constellations welcome (each participant needs a ticket) \nClass recording: No \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop and discussion are held in spoken English with automated captions in English which are provided by Zoom. SUMMARY:Boundaries for Life (and Kink) – Series
DESCRIPTION:Boundaries can feel like a slippery concept—something we’re constantly told to uphold\, understand\, and recognize when crossed. Yet\, the truth is\, many of us struggle to define what a boundary actually is or how it is shaped by factors such as cultural upbringing\, national laws\, or personal experiences.\n(How) did you come to understand boundaries in your life? What influences have shaped them? \nJoin Caritia in a three-part series to break down these ideas and explore your unique path to clearer boundary-setting and negotiation. Through thoughtful discussion and playful exploration\, we’ll work towards building a deeper understanding of consent and connection. \nPart 1: Map of Me (March 7th\, 2025 7-9pm)\nPart 2: Negotiation & Structure (March 14th\, 2025 7-9pm)\nPart 3: Utopic Play (March 21st\, 2025 7-9pm) \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  March 7th\, 14th & 21st\, 2025\, 7 pm – 9 pm \nFormat: workshop \nMinimum Knowledge Level: – \nWhat to Bring: ideas\, questions\, ways to keep notes \nSolo or Partnered: any constellation works. SUMMARY:Kink\, Violence & the Unseen
DESCRIPTION:In Torture\, Play\, and the Black Experience\, Aaron Trammell states that “play functions as a tool of subjugation—one that hurts as much as it heals and has been complicit in the systemic erasure of BIPOC people from the domain of leisure.” \nThis workshop explores the absence of BIPOC individuals from intimacy spaces—both educational and physical—and examines the barriers they face. It also critiques the continuation of a “copy-paste” culture in learning about kink and BDSM\, which often lacks critical thinking around boundaries and intentional adult play. \nCaritia invites participants to engage in this ongoing dialogue\, delving into the nuances of intimacy\, BDSM\, and the unique challenges and perspectives of BIPOC communities within these spaces. \nThis event is part of the “Queer Intimacies Conference – Re-Thinking & Queer(ing) Sex\, Kink\, and Intimacies 2025” Conference and can be purchased as a solo event or part of our day or full conference tickets.  \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  March 2nd\, 2025\, 11 am – 1 pm CET (Berlin time) \nFormat: discussion/workshop/ (virtual) \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum knowledge level: – \nWhat to bring: pen & paper \nClass recording: yes\, the recording will be available for 30 days to the conference participants. \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop and discussion are held in spoken English with automated captions in English which are provided by Zoom.
\n  \nWhat we will do: \nFebruary – Consent\, communication and impact play \nMarch – Negotiations and Power dynamics \nApril – What’s new? Questions & Curiosity ask anything time. \nMay – Rope Rope Rope \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  February 2nd\, 2025\, 7-8.30pm CET \nFormat: lab (virtual) \nAudience:  BIPOC  \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: All levels welcome \nWhat to Bring: \nSolo or Partnered:  all constellations welcome (each participant needs a ticket) \nClass recording: No \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop and discussion are held in spoken English with automated captions in English which are provided by Zoom. SUMMARY:Radical Anger
DESCRIPTION:Let’s take it from Maya Angelou. \nLet’s find transformational energies for transformative times. \nThe present-day and historical views that society has on anger are not ones Caritia feels are in anyone’s best interest\, and a number of scholars and psychologists agree. \nThere are rarely spaces or places where anger can be freely and openly expressed\, and there is no room to speak about anger. Caritia invites participants to join in this intentionally held container to speak on and offer guided practices to get to know and understand their own anger\, where it comes from\, and how they can find ways to embrace this poorly understood and complex sensation. \nCaritia will share from personal experiences and offer tools\, care and practical methods to encourage you to explore yourself and your needs with more intention. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  January 26th\, 2025\, 7-10 pm CET\, Berlin time \nFormat: workshop & discussion (virtual) \nAudience:  LGBTQIA+ & FRIENDS \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: none \nWhat to Bring: questions\, an object that represents anger for you\,an object that represents cleansing for you \nSolo or Partnered: both (each participant needs a ticket) \nClass recording: Yes\, only the facilitator will be recorded \n  \nWhat we will teach/do \n• finding understanding around anger \n• consent and boundary work \n• tapping into the emotional body \n• offering space for shadows \n• why creative movement and physical embodiment are helpful tools \n• sound as a resource \n• intention – why is it? what does it mean? \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop and discussion are held in spoken English with automated captions in English which are provided by Zoom.
\n  \nWhat we will do: \nJanuary – Introductions\, boundaries and basic frameworks \nFebruary – Consent\, communication and impact play \nMarch – Negotiations and Power dynamics \nApril – What’s new? Questions & Curiosity ask anything time. \nMay – Rope Rope Rope \n  \nEvent Details \nDate & Time:  January 5th\, 7-8.30pm CET \nFormat: lab (virtual) \nAudience:  BIPOC  \nLanguage: English \nMinimum Knowledge Level: All levels welcome \nWhat to Bring: \nSolo or Partnered:  all constellations welcome (each participant needs a ticket) \nClass recording: No \n  \nAccessibility Note \nThe workshop and discussion are held in spoken English with automated captions in English which are provided by Zoom.
